Why does the pic say "Megatron gun (g1 toy)"?

I'm sorry if I misunderstood what you wrote. I didn't include that image because you said it was the wrong-colors Galvatron, so I'm confused by your response to me or what your point was. I was pointing out that the 2nd image you posted is also the incorrect colors and that the original image used in the news story posted by William-James is closer to the samples that I posted from the cartoon.

Galvatron purple is like Saints Row purple. There are four or five different shades in the game series referenced as Saints' Purple.

At least toyhax van unify all the faction symbols of Galv/Cyc/Scourge.

Heights might be awkward if Rodimus is shoter than Ultra and Galv is taller than Ultra but if I get Galv he will be going with CW Ultra anyways. We just need some official pics and comparrisons. Transformers Tuesday didnt seem to happen yesterday :(

Phamduc, the guy who has it in hand has said it's almost as tall as Siege Magnus.

Some quick comparisons put him around the height of the Titans Return one. And Phamduc confirmed this is accurate.

Which honestly isn't too bad if I'm being honest.

I'm actually okay with my Titans Return Galvatron, though mine is heavily customized. The spaceship cockpit junk was removed from his back, his arm cannon was adapted to fit on the side of his arm, and his head was swapped out with the combiner head from CW Cyclonus. Yeah it was a lot of work, but it'll do.

Having gotten a shipping update from Amazon I decided to cancel my order of Leader Beast Megatron. From all the reports and reviews it just doesn't come together well in T-Rex mode and I feel it's a question of when not if those rubber panels break down. It helps that I was never a fan of the overall design anyway.

I like mine as he is, but Kingdom is a clearly superior version.

Robot mode looks pretty good. Those spaceship guns were a nice touch.

Ditto!!! I've been hoping for Galvatron ever since the '86 movie characters started trickling in (Seige Magnus and Springer). I'll definitely pick him up but, damn, that battle damage sucks and is going to bug the crap out of me. EVERYTHING else has been so clean and spot-on that I thought Hasbro was done with the whole battle damage crap. What's next?! Beast Wars figures with ripped flesh, plucked feathers and patches of hair loss?

You joke, but the main play gimmick of the Jurassic Park figures has always been in fact torn patches of flesh.

Not really a fan of battle damage either but he is bought on sight for me. No complaints as I am happy to be finally getting a great looking Galvatron (IMHO).

I thought about doing that but I figured the head would have been too big since it's combiner-sized.

I’ve been so excited and anxious for Galvatron, & I’m 100% in for this figure...
But I’m not delusional or blind to a few of the issues...
Along with most of what’s been mentioned, I’d also say the ab section is too square... It literally looks like some sort of mother box... Even if this is how it appears in some of the old drawings,
imo the top & bottom should be narrower so that the sides at least appear taller... It should at least look a bit more like a rectangle that’s positioned vertically...
And it doesn’t bother me, but I do wish the color was a little closer to Blue-Violet...
At least what I’m seeing in these photos he looks a bit too much towards Red-Violet.

So is the official release date for this guy mid-summer?

It actually looks appropriately sized for his body. Plus the combiner head fits in his big chest cavity, so there's alt mode storage.

Interesting. I do have a scrap CW Cyclonus. I'll just have to find a scrap TR Galvatron and have some fun. ;)

The facesculpt is too gaunt. Idk who works on the faces but they seem to bat .500 when it comes to nailing it vs. being really close yet somehow totally off. There's nothing sinister about him, he just looks tired. I think it's due to the eyes being wider than any other point on the face.

And the battle damage this time, big yikes. At least during Siege there was an argument for it as a thematic point of consistency, but here it's just off.

Overall this is really close to a great Galvatron, just not quite there. It looks nearly perfect from the waist down!

Am I the only one that looks at the guns and the picture of the Revenge and see zero similarities in overall shape between them? They look vaguely similar, but the guns don’t seem to have the pylons looping down and then up again.

Allegedly, the two guns are supposed to combine together and attach to his cannon to make a giant rail gun.

Why would Tigerhawk merrit a commander class instead of leader class? With the amount of people not thrilled to be paying 80$ for what they deem to be a leader class package, we'd get the same reaction for Tigerhawk.
I truly hope not to have to spend $80 USD when Hasbro releases him.

I know I am a week late to this, but I just don't care enough to be on here much.

But to answer the question: Tigerhawk is huge. He is a big winged god-cat-angel bot. He should be massive, he should have bulk, he should tower over all but OpOp and Depthcharge.

I would happily pay $80 for him when they're ready to release him, he is large and good and deserving of that spot. He deserves to get the best figure possible like that.

He couldn't be a leader, it would be too small for him and not do him proper justice.

As for the Rodimus Prime reveal, I will stick to my Tigerhawk/Magnaboss guns.

As for the Galvatron reveal, he is ugly as sin. It looks like they used the IDW Heart of Darkness as a goby for him, with a huge chest, small head and waist, weirdly shaped legs, and honestly ugly head sculpt. I was going to get his selects toy deco, but nevermind, that mold is ugly.

I don't think I ever watched an episode with Huffer (or at least one where I remember him in it), so I have 0 attachment to the character, nor any previous toy of his. So I bought this toy simply because I thought it looked good and sure enough, it is. An excellent toy. It does have visible robot kibble in alt mode that was cleverly hidden in all stock pics but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the toy. And I find that he feels meaty enough for a deluxe, he fits that price point quite well.

I feel one issue that people forget about the scale in BW is that it gradually increased (barring any times they manually changed the scale for dramatic effect) to help drive toy sales.
I really don't think we should compare the models of different varieties (Beasties, Fuzors, Transmetals, Transmetals 2) as if they were in the same scale (Beast Cheetor is 1/3 the height of TM2 Cheetor).
On that note I personally feel that Tigerhawk would work best as a Leader, however his wings will always pose an issue no matter what class he's in.

With his impressive wingspan and tail length, he might need to be. ;)
