City/Base connection questions

1. Is there a name for the Titans Return-era connections? Like the way Earthrise-era connections are called "the A.I.R. Lock System"? I'm trying to figure out how to easily get a list of all figures that feature the connections without having to look through the list of all Titans-Return-And-Later figures individually. (Also, A.I.R. Lock System is a stupid name, so I'll henceforth be referring to them as "Earthrise connections".)

2. Are there any figures other than Omega Supreme who feature both types of connections?

3. Are there any figures outside of Micromaster-era G1 that have the Micromaster-era G1 connections?

4. Are there any other standardized connection types for base-building that I'm forgetting about?

5. Are there any "informal" merging of bases/cities that are noteworthy? (For example, I find that you can put MP-10 Optimus's trailer base in front of Titan Class Metroplex, and have his black chest ramp lead down into it, leaving his left leg free to swivel outward like his right, more closely resembling the way his G1 figure looked.)

All excellent questions, but it's a lot to unpack so lets see....

1. No official name, but Every TR Leader class figure as well as Fortress Maximus and Trypticon have them. Additionally :TAKARATOMY: Legends God Bomber, Greatshot, Big Powered (Dai Atlus), and Grand Maximus have them as well. Also the Convention Exclusive Shreddicus Maximus (Black PM Prime repaint with skateboard ACCESSORIES). Also the Airlock system was introduced with Siege Omega Supreme and Astrotrain, thus why it is not exclusive to Earthrise. There were no other bots outside of TR, and a few TT Legends however that have the TR connector system, other than obviously Siege Omega Supreme.

2. No. Siege Omega Supreme is quite literally and figuratively the only bridge between both types of systems

3. Not that I am aware of

4. IN the original Series "Scramble City" power was promoted in Japan. The Hasbro toys could do it as well although it was not advertised. Onslaught and Motormaster had base modes that could connect to the original Trypticon. same with Silverbolt and Hotspot to Metroplex. Additionally in robot mode Metroplex had 4 ports (one on each arm and leg) to connect limb-bots for more Scramble Power!

5. I'll leave this for someone else to answer, as I'm not sure.

There is no official connectivity here, but it is a thing of Chaotic Magnificence! :-D

I have Greasepit coming in the mail, and Doubledealer scheduled to arrive August 10. If I can just somehow find Scorponok and Slitherfang before then, I plan to take pics with all the Airlock TF's released so far. I recently purchased TT Big Powered online, the last of the TR/Legends Leaders I needed. Getting them all together for base mode pics is going to be quite a chore though, that may be a Labor Day project.

Holy crap, that is magnificently chaotic. Is that your own collection, or a picture you found online?

The "street lamp" Soundwave, and the stack of unused Micromaster ramps are particularly amusing.

I think I've almost found Waldo, too.

Oh, crap, I just remembered one more question I meant to ask in the beginning:

6. Do any current figures actually connect to the ramps that stick out of Omega Supreme's upper legs? The ramps are flush against the backs of his lower legs, and about an inch and a half out from the ends of the ramps, you hit his heels, so can anything actually make use of these connections?

Just a pic I found online. William James shared one a while back that was either the same, or very similar and had perhaps more. I don't really have any original TF's anymore, just got back into generations in 2016

If you use Battle masters like Soundbarrier and Slitherfang as bridges you can make use of the connections on OS legs, not sure if anything directly will work, I'm definitely going to have fun trying in a couple of weeks.

I thought the Battlemasters were too thick to fit in that space. Do they really work?
