the reason i enjoy transformers so much is because of its fairly complex transformation is a challenge like a rubix cube. also i dig the robot mode very much as well. so what's your passion about it?

To me they are like puzzles. I like to figure out how to transform them without the instruction book.

They definitely feel that way for me. I’ve always been interested in mechanical stuff although I was never myself very mechanical, if you get me. After purchasing Ironhide Voyager for SG$50 I became hooked. It’s a real puzzle all right, and jigsaw like (something I love doing).
The more I play with them the more I learn and appreciate. There is a very definite way to put things together. Many times I hear people complaining about things not lining up properly, and in the early days I often had alt modes that I didn’t like. Until I figured out that every slot, peg and hole is there for a purpose. Once I got everything figured out (NO THANKS TO THE INSTRUCTIONS!) they looked really good.
Who’d have taught deliberating 45min if I should buy a toy for 50 bucks would lead to me spending… well xxx dollars in damages since that time! Have all the TF movie toys now except Megatron Leader. I’m still having fun every time I transform each one!

For me, the harder the transformation, the better.

Not sure if it differs for each line, but movie line is 4-5 levels I think?
I love them mainly because they did such a good job of making sure most bots in alt mode, look like their alt mode. As in, you realy wouldnt know it was a transformer unles you picked it up and looked around (of course, some arent like that). THis is why I love alternators. Someone coul walk into a room and see just a bunch of model cars and wouldnt know. of course, i display a few in bot mode

It doesn't matter whether you look up the instructions or not, they are useless anyway. LOL!

The skill levels are printed on the packaging of the figure. There are 4 skill levels.
However The Movies levels are a bit misleading. Ironhide for example is clearly harder to transform than say Jazz, but they are on the same skill level: 3.
