Breakdown's stickers are also now more plastic-matching blue instead of purple.

So all these differences will make some collectors double-dip and this won't really bring down the value of the originals.
I guess we can just consider these the "Hasbro versions".

I wont, true Hasbro versions would have less 5MMS holes and painted detail rather than stickers. It's more like Hasbro's release of these Takara toys.

Can't avoid the 5mm ports, but the set would have been much more unique without the stickers and a decent paint job for both figures.

Oh well, we can consider ourselves lucky to have these at all.

I feel very fortunate to have a jet vehicon, and also super happy to have a silver evil Megatron with fusion cannon, dark star saber, and archangel wings

I still have a Jet Vehicon and Jet Vehicon commander untouched. I think I've sorta tried selling them but didn't have my heart in it. No point now I guess.

Would I be right in thinking that the stickers are similar to the stock stickers for comparable Gundam kits in terms of crappiness?

Having experimented both, yup. That's pretty much it.

Wow these are bad. I haven't even tried applying any and I already had one rip when the tape that sealed the plastic bag for Megatron's instructions decided to stick itself to the sticker sheet. That was fun trying to save crappy stickers.

I had a feeling that was the case, since these kits looked similar to the cheap Gundams I've handled. The stock decals are basically just low-cost placeholders to keep the kits from looking completely bare out of the box; actual quality is meant to come from either a higher-grade separate sheet or the consumer's painting skill.

What would be a comparable Gundam kit?

The "HG" or "High Grade" ones.
Cheap snap-on kits that make nice robots, but the stickers are meh.

The target audience Takara was trying to reach for this Arms Microns was model kit builders, so the Gundam sticker similarity is appropriate (for better or for worse).

Still haven't transformed my set, but I will apply the stickers no matter how bad they are.
I'll be enjoying this beautiful thing to its fullest.

He has the same color scheme as Chasey Blue from VIGILANTE 8.

I like that the Prowl version has a sightly bigger head.

R.E.D is the only hope for new PRIME figures aparently.

Same here, I have the Vehicon all stickered up and Hades Megs is 1/2 way there. Saving Breakdown for last.

Doubtful, since this is a line of minimally-different reissues.

The most we could hope for is a reissue of Hunter Smokescreen in its show-accurate colors as released by Takara in their Go! line.

Well great, first time I put Hades on Megs in vehicle mode and tried to take him off, the link connecting his head snapped. :BOOM:

Guess I'll be returning it. At least I didn't put all the stickers on yet.

With all the talk about how bad the stickers are I pulled out my one Takara Tomy Arms Micron figure, Megatron Darkness (aka Hades Megatron) to see how his stickers looked. Not a single issue I could find, all of them were just as they were when I applied them eight years ago. No curling or lifting or anything between Megatron and his two Microns. I thought of all of them surely Gora II's barrel stickers would be lifting since they curve around, but they look fine. Not sure what people's problems are with the original stickers.

I didn't like the stickers, so I didn't apply very many of them, mostly only to the arms microns.

What's also kind of sad is despite how much I like hades Megatron, I have not transformed him yet and honestly I might not at all

I'd recommend transforming him at least once if you don't already have another version of the mold. There are a few neat steps I haven't seen before.

Actually all 3 of the Prime anniversary bots had a few steps in their transformations that were quite enjoyable for me, never experiencing the molds before.

Oh I have Sharkticon Megatron, and I have the OG Breakdown too. Air Vehicon was the only one I hadn't experienced before (I do have a car Vehicon too), and I have transformed him a lot, he is a blast

He has the craziest arm joint setup. Ball joint shoulder, bicep swivel, a pin joint and a ball joint for an elbow and a pin joint wrist. He should have no problem doing the Macarena.

I need to pose him around some more, and figure out a name for him. the car guy is Steve, maybe I'll make this guy "Jobs" or something stupid
