(Kingdom) Toy release schedules?

UGGGGh okay I am brand new to this forum and I am going to just guess that this kind of question has been answered somewhere, but I couldn't find it using the search features so I'm just going to go for it. You guys seem like friendly people.

I've got back into Transformers action figures about a year ago after getting PotP Inferno as a birthday gift from my siblings.

I followed Hasbro's toy / waves / releases / etc. somewhat loosely and very casually up until this WFC: Kingdom toyline was announced (which I found by accident while clicking around on this site). Thankfully, I found this out in time to be able to catch the Pulse Con live stream and boy was that a freaking TREAT. And now I'm sitting up in my seat going "hey wait a minute!"

:MAXIMAL: :PREDACON: I'm wondering: where and how is the most secure way to keep on top of the toy schedules and announcements as they become available? :MAXIMAL: :PREDACON:

Of course I would guess that rumors and that kind of thing have to be found posted here and there in a forum on on a Seibertron article, but if Hasbro is going to have a live event, or announce new Transformers for pre-order, or something like that, is there an email list or something I can get on? But I'm kinda picky, I mean I don't want updates for G.I. Joe, Marvel, Star Wars, etc, really just TF and really just War for Cybertron.

I really do not want to miss any future Kingdom updates man...I've gotten pretty excited after seeing BW Polar Claw in that giant piece of concept art. Plus Dinobot looks good in the poster, Rhinox looks good, can't wait to see any Maximal Fossilizers, don't want to miss any figures that haven't been announced or teased yet...etc etc etc etc etc!! Lol

tl,dr: where and how is the simplest and most reliable way to keep on top of the War for Cybertron schedules and announcements without me having to go hunt for it all the time?

Other than keeping up with the forum postings here, TFWiki and the online stores like BBTS and TFSource that have the estimated arrival dates for the figures there's no easy way I don't think.

Okay, I can live with that.

Is there at least a general rhythm that toylines go by? Like can we expect a new wave every [X] number of months, something like that? Just to give me a general idea of when I can be hype and when I can be chill?

Maybe I can look up when waves released on previous toy entries on tfwiki and "reverse engineer" a timeline from that.

(btw, like your sig photo...personal fav would be the "little red sports car" on the far left side of the pic. :Autobot: )

First off, welcome to the boards! Make yourself at home.

As for your actual question: Checking here and on similar forums is probably your best bet. During normal years, Hasbro usually only does big reveals like those from this weekend at pre-existing conventions (SDCC, NYCC, Toy Fair, London MCM, etc.), which makes things easier to keep track of because those always have set dates in advance. This year has not been a normal, for reasons that are obvious at this point, which is why the majority of reveals have happened over livestreams. If you became a Premium member on Hasbro Pulse, they have been sending email reminders/updates for upcoming livestreams, but there is no way to only get the ones for TF announcements and you would be getting emails about Marvel, Star Wars, and their other product lines, which isn't what you want. Regardless of where and how stuff was announced though, almost everything new will get a news article on this site.

(Also, just so you know, being on here has been leading to knowing about some figures before they even get announced, if you don't care about leaks. What we believe to be the entire retail lineup for Kingdom is just sitting in some of the earlier pages of the Kingdom discussion thread, if you want to know.)

Ok thanks for that thorough response Nemesis Primal! Glad to be here. I think if I had discovered these forums in high school I probably would have been on them this whole time. I won't be making up for lost time, but it's cool to be here. It's funny that I picked a very abnormal year to decide to get interested in Transformers again. But that makes it fun I guess!

As for leaks, I'm good with leaks, as a matter of fact I am very interested in knowing what's coming down the pipe with Kingdom. I saw some of the leak information but not all of it looked that complete when I saw it. Seemed like a lot of the figures said "Deluxe AST" or something like that, rather than having a character's actual name. Tfwiki says "ast" means "assortment" which I guess means we would know it's a Deluxe but now which character.

However, I didn't look that thoroughly and maybe by now that's been updated? I'll go back through the Kingdom discussion thread. Thanks!!

By the way, is there similar info / leaks for the WFC: Earthrise toyline somewhere in these threads?

Also welcome to the agony that is waiting for things to be released, and toy distribution woes. Things had gotten a bit better prior to COVID-19, which isn't affecting anything we are told, ...but it is...

o.supreme,

Thanks, while that isn't the best news of all time, it is good clarity. That let's me know what to expect.

For the record, I took a look at the release dates for Siege and Earthrise figures and it seems to me like the waves came out in 4 month intervals. September (month of me posting this) is four months from the drop date of Kingdom Wave 1, so I guess that means they also do announcements on roughly a four month schedule.

Thus, it would make sense for January 20201 to mark both the drop of Kingdom Wave 1, and the announcement for Kingdom Wave 2. May 2021 would be another four months; the drop of Wave 2 and the announcements for Wave 3.

I can work with that.

Typically we get 4 waves a year for WFC/Generations that are released seasonally, so Wave 1 hits around December-January, Wave 2 hits around March-April, Wave 3 hits around July-August, and Wave 4 around October-November. The combination of Siege getting a 5th Wave of stuff brought forwards from Earthrise and Covid hitting has kinda screwed up this year's release schedule though, as the Wave 2 Deluxes for Earthrise are basically only just now showing up.

Any and all leaks that do get posted on here would be in the respective discussion thread for the line, so you'd want the Earthrise Discussion Thread for ER leaks. Everything that's currently leaked for ER is exclusives, and there aren't too many, so to save you some time:
-Thrust from the Seeker mold (listing found in Target systems, leaked pic of mistransformed production sample a while ago)
-Runabout from Runamuck's mold (listing found in Target systems, someone reviewed him a week ago)
-Bluestreak from the Smokescreen mold (confirmed via eBay listing, some online stores shipping him already despite lack of a reveal from Hasbro)
-Glyph, Tap-Out, and a white Ironworks repaint are rumored to be in the Galactic Odyssey sets, but this was just word-of-mouth from a credible leaker rather than any listings or anything
-There is also at least one more exclusive for Earthrise we are unaware of that fills the E28 slot in the numbering system, no clue yet what it is

And for the Kingdom stuff, check around pages 24-25 of the Kingdom Discussion Thread, there should be a graphic that lists everything we know about except for the names of Paleotrex and Vertebreak (they are accounted for on the list, just unnamed) and the rumored identities of the Commander and Titan (Rodimus Prime and the Ark, respectively).

Ok thanks for the page numbers...I'd made it to about the 7th page on the Kingdom discussion yesterday when I gave up lol.

Gotta say, if Glyph and Tap-out reuse the Cliffjumper mold, that will be kind of disappointing to me. They are reeaally proud of that Cliffjumper mold this go round, aren't they??

I am a little excited about Bluestreak though. Wonder if he'll actually be blue lol.
