08 TF Movie Bumblebee! How to get one with little to no effort/problem at all! IMPORTANT!!!

Here's the trick:
Wait two more goddamn weeks. He will be everywhere.
Listen up new guys.
This desperation hunting for a toy that hasn't been out much over a week is insane.
You and you alone are responsible for the current scalping situation.
The time between when a figure is first found and when it hits market saturation is about 2 weeks to a month.
Relax.
Do you really think Hasbro is going to under produce the main character of their multi-national movie?

True...
But I used deception to get attention.
(and is this the first time I've said something in a nicer, more gentle way than you? What will people think?

)

People were paying $162 not two weeks ago! NOW you see them on ebay with $24.99 BIN. In TWO more weeks you'll see as many as you need for $9.99.

this just needed a bump.. that's all
and basically, at this point.. i hope the machine that makes the 08 bb explodes, hasbro burns down, and all the shipment trucks on their way to the stores get hi-jacked by the russian mob, and all the 08 bb's (only) get tossed into a furnace, because that's what the russian mob does.

Similar situation to what happened with Classics Jetfire really.
Although I got one in the end, I didn't see many Jetfires on shelf in the shops in Australia. Hopefully 08 Bee becomes widespread here.

I almost fell off my couch man!
I still haven't found mine yet, but I know he'll be around. Just keep looking. I know that my stores haven't even gotten their shipments in yet. When classics Devastator was released it took three weeks to show up around me. So just chill and it'll come.

People are paying stupid prices on ebay in the UK too. Some are going for around £40 (around $80!!!) when there are toy retailer websites with them in stock selling them for just over retail at £11, which is what I paid.
People really should research online retailers before paying stupid prices on ebay. But hey if they have money to throw away theres always Ultimate Bumblebee for £80........

Can't agree with you more. Very wise suggestion indeed

CP, you think you have all the answers (and you don't) and you spit out as fact. This is why I absolutely cannot stand you sometimes.
Your "solution" doesn't help everyone. There are many places in the US that may not see this figure. It's happened before, and it will happen again.
I come back to the Energon Combiner fiasco. Only certain areas got the figures, while others saw nothing of the final waves.
Don't sit around and bitch about people wanting something, it's not going to kill you that they want this figure, and if it does...then you're an idiot.

Counterpunch is my new hero. I swear, not even a month and all of these MN's (Movie Noobs) asking where they can find Bumblebee, every topic. I'm getting tired of all the one liner questions about "where can I find" and "should I buy on ebay". For me transformer collecting is'nt a contest of I got him first or I completed my set. It's always been about how they provide me with a link to a childhood I can never have back, and how it's nice to know that others share my passion. All these new MN's will be gone in a few months when the next big thing comes around, so I pay them no mind. But for those that have found or refound their link to a better time, welcome. There, I've said my peace, now where's that coffee can.(sorry for the Critic reference)

sorry going to agree with Counterpunch on this people are getting way too bent out of shape about something that's only been sighted a week almost two now and its going to be out on shelves what couple of months?
if you hate the scalpers then don't pay them, if you pay the silly prices you just make it seem profitable to do it and give others the idea to do it. I mean your making 4 to 5 times the value of the item in profit, that's amazing and people that can't wait a few weeks for stock to catch up will pay that just to get a $10 toy now.
Its good advice to follow especially to the impatient people that things will change. We have alot of new folks on the board and its 08 BB mania.
Stores around me haven't even gotten though their old stock yet so won't see the new case assortments for another week or two, but I'm not going to foam at the mouth and pay $40 for a $10 toy.

I apologize (to most) for that. But certain people (the aforementioned included) have been pushing every button I have with their attitudes and foot in mouth disease.
I'm just tired of the holier than thou attitudes and matter of factness. It's ridiculous.

I always advocate getting TFs cheaply.
I told people to get the BotCon set when it was
only $280.

I'll close my company and come work with you if
$280.00 is cheap money...

i was thinking. blame hasbro. it's their dumb ass fault they don't have oodles of bumble's sitting around AFTER the release of the movie. with kids having such short attention spans... whose to say this hot seller will be hot in oh say.. a month? the time to capitalize was on july 2nd, when the movie got released.
way to go!

That's not entirely true. Bumblebee is selling out like crazy right now, and as the '74 (actually a 77 iirc...) has shown...even with time, he's the one that's in demand the most.
I've only seen one or two Bumblebees lately, both were the '74s and they sold out within 24 hours worth of time. I've yet to see the '08 in person (but I know for a fact I actually missed it one night, the one night I chose not to go to Wal-Mart. >_<)
After all this time, he's still a hot seller. I think he'll continue to as well. Something about him just clicked for everyone.
