You know how the Creatures Collide set came with alternate heads for Skywasp, Scorponok, and a toy-colors head for Kickback? Well, how exactly does one do the head-swap for Kickback? Unlike the other two, whose neck ball joints stick out from the top of the torso, the opposite is true of Kickback's neck ball joint: It's buried inside the torso.

My guess is pull straight up on the head until the torso lets go. I'm keeping my heads original, so I never tried it before. I just gave a half-assed try and it does seem to require a bit of force, so I stopped before I got the head off. The biggest thing would be to pull as straight upward from the torso as possible so that you aren't putting much lateral stresses on the post that the ball is on.

I dunno about that method. It's in there pretty deep.

I can't see any other way of getting it out. You might have some luck using something like a popcicle stick to pry the head upward until the torso lets it go. I don't see any way of opening the torso. I'm also assuming for assembly, they just pushed it into the socket, but the tolerance on mine seems pretty tight.

New tactic, worked on mine. I pulled back on the top of his forehead and the ball popped out pretty easily. Basically make him look up as far as possible. The bottom of the back of his head touches the top of the torso when you do this and provides just enough leverage to pop the ball out.

I would not swap heads too often though, I worry about the joint becoming loose over time.

No fear of that. I bought two Kickbacks. One to keep the normal head, one to do the head swap.

New Cybertronian Jazz Mold Exclusive to Target's Buzzworthy line

Looks like Hasbro was not done with reveals. There was a round table discussion today, which we will shed more light on later. During this discussion, Hasbro revealed Origins Jazz. This is to go with the Origins Bumblebee we got a little while back, which shows what he looked like in the first episode of the G1 cartoon. Like Origins Bumblebee, Origins Jazz will be part of the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line and thus be a Target Exclusive in the US. However, as we saw with that Bumblebee, he might be pretty easy to find in the end.

ORIGINS JAZZ revealed from the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line

If you needed a friend for your Buzzworthy Bumblebee Origins Bumblebee, how about the just revealed Buzzworthy Bumblebee Origins JAZZ!?!? Hasbro just revealed this deluxe class figure during a Transformers Team roundtable with various Transformers fansites like Seibertron.com. At the end of the Q&A, Hasbro showed off a big surprise in the form of Origins Jazz in his hovercar mode from the first episode of the animated Transformers G1 cartoon episode (More Than Meets The Eye - Part 1). Included below are a bunch of screen captures from the Roundtable from earlier today.

In addition to Jazz finally having his unique and iconic hovercar mode from the first episode from almost 40 years ago, Jazz also includes his grappling hook accessory which can be mounted to ports on the opposite side of his hands when you flip them around, or it can be mounted to the end of his blaster. Unfortunately, there is not a string to attach the grappling hook, but I'm sure some fishing line or something comparable would do the trick nicely.

The Transformers Buzzworthy Bumblebee product line can be found exclusively at Target stores in the US.

You can stream the first episode Transformers More Than Meets The Eye on YouTube.

Now that UFO Bumblebee has a friend, one has to wonder what else Hasbro has in the pipeworks and whether or not any of the other Transformers from that episode who had iconic Cybertronian modes will get this treatment.

Official images of this new product are expected to be available soon. In the meantime ... enjoy these screen captures of this exciting new reveal!

Awesome! This is a definite buy! So glad they're releasing these origin figures. Hopefully, they'll continue to bring us more. Wheeljack would be a great addition!

Cool. All the money I save on the Rise of Beasts figures can go to this.

Does that mean they'll be giving the tetra jets another go? There's also wheeljack to do correct?

Wheeljack could be an easy retool from that Jazz, or follow the same engineering.

As for the Tetrajets, I can only see a remold of the Siege ones, but with smooth surfaces and a clean paint scheme.

So during the Q&A did anyone ask about the "Sandwich" style packaging and why Earthspark toys weren't on shelves during the holiday season or was it all about the new shiny that Hasbro presented?

I hope that grappling hook gets a little paint on the hook blades.

I loved Origin Bee so much, I'm thrilled for this. I was also planning to eventually unload most of the Siege bots that I bought again in Earthrise, but now I feel like my Cybertronian collection might grow further.

Very nice unexpected surprise. Truthfully, I didn't even remember that he had a Cybertronian mode. Just Bee and Wheeljack. The figure seems somewhat simple, but I'm still glad it got made. It'll be an in-hand decision.

Read on another site that Jazz will be available in April 2023... does anyone know if that's the case?

It would be nice to get a Wheeljack and another go at the tetrajets. Soundwave (lamppost) wouldn't really be that exciting, but having a Cybertronian Laserbeak in this line would be cool.

Following on from the recent reveal of Origin Jazz, we have official product shots of this out-of-nowhere figure! Jazz looks faithful to his appearance in the very first episode of the G1 cartoon 'More Than Meets the Eye' which first aired nearly forty years ago. This is an all new mold, and will be coming out in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line of Generations. Origin Jazz should be released in April, and hopefully, this is an indicator that we'll get more Cybertronian altmodes in this sub-sub-line.

I love it. But I wish we would get an Origins Wheeljack too, as he was the first Transformer ever on screen.

Thundercracker is the first ever character on screen. The first Autobot is Prowl. For the commercial for the comic book.

Welp, that's gonna be mine! Been trying to decide on a Jazz for my shelf, and I think this'll be it, at least until my ideal Jazz comes out. Either way, Origins Jazz looks awesome, hope we see Origins Wheeljack

SS86 didn't do it for you? Supposedly that's as close as we'll get to MP.
