Entertainment Earth came through with a couple Sweeps in just a few days...
Still don't know why Amazon's date was pushed back to February.
It's a pretty big deal for me to have this display... Kinda one of those things I wasn't sure would ever happen.
Image

I'm also really happy I decided to get 3 Sharkticons.
It's not often that I like an alt mode as much as a bot mode, but this figure is definitely an exception.

I can't tell from the pics. Are the Sweeps differently colored than Scourge?

Yeah they are... What's happened in that shot is Scourge is back in a shadow, so it almost looks like he's darker due to that.
But he really is darker.
The Sweeps are definitely a lighter.

Cool. Since I already bought three Scourges, the one Sweep I will get will be Scourge. LOL

That's a great display! Mine will be similar, except my Sweeps and Armada will be deluxe versions of Scourge and Cyclonus from previous lines.

Yup, they are. A lighter shade in general.

BTW, I got my Gnaw. The ankle tilt could have been better but otherwise, he's a ton of fun well worth the deluxe price.

I just need the OG G1 to have all the Sharkticon molds.

I feel like the Sweep's brighter blue better captures Scourge's appearance than Scourge does. His darkered and faded blue looks more like a washed out VHS version of the movie while the Sweep looks more like a properly remastered version of the movie.

I was thinking the same thing. I wasn't expecting that lighter blue to look THAT good. The Sweep just might become my Scourge.

Thanks man...
And honestly, it is what it is, but the Sweeps and Scourge actually look better in person.
I like more subtle poses, but at least imo they do look better standing in front of that shelf.
Obviously a camera flattens the appearance of space...

I'm hoping to start some diorama artwork sooner than later... Although that's all new, and I haven't exactly created a budget for materials, so it will have to wait a bit.

And to those who make Sweep into Scourge, I say right on!!

I guess I'm a dissenter in that I like the more muted colors on Scourge than the brighter Sweeps one. It makes him look a bit more menacing.

I don't know that you have to be a 'dissenter' to prefer Scourge as Scourge. In my case, I simply already own three Scourges, not having advance knowledge that there would be a Sweep figure made.

But this is Hasbro we're talking about, now it may not have been right on the heels of Scourge release, but a reuse/repaint was certainly coming. lol

I agree with this... Even for these toys, especially this group (including Galvatron and Cyclonus), I prefer slightly more muted, toned-down colors.
I still really like how Sweep looks. I would've preferred he was even a tinge darker than Scourge, but it's all good.
Of all of them, Galvatron's color bugs me the most. It's too Red-Violet and borders on Raspberry.
Imo he should've been much closer to the color of Cyclonus, and much more desaturated than what we got.
But I know that's a small nit-pick, and they definitely look great together.

Here's a pic I found elsewhere that shows how much brighter and color-contrasted the Sweeps are compared to Scourge's duller and more faded blue:

Nice. They all look good. I woulodn't mind "Scourge" in the Sweeps colors anymore than I mind the "Sweeps" in Scourge's colors.

So Scourge looks more lavender in color while the Sweeps are actually blue then?

I still like Scourge’s color better…
It’s less elementary-school blue. Which that may be more of the original color, but it’s not like Hastak never takes liberties with color— look at Galvatron & Hot Rod.

Scourge’s color isn’t dull, it’s still really saturated.
The difference is that its more blue-violet.

If I may chime in, Scourge's and the Sweeps' colors should have been switched around. Not for looks really, but the principle of Scourge being the original, while the Sweeps are "weaker" paler copies of him.

*sigh* I see a lot of swaps in their future...

The sweeps are already a lighter (thus paler) shade of blue than Scourge. :-D

The Sweeps deco is like a remastered DVD/Blu-Ray version of TFTM, while Scourge's deco is like an old VHS tape version of the movie.

I prefer Scourge's more muted blue over the sweeps, so I'm happy to have each in their Hasbro-designated roles instead of saying "the sweep is Scourge and the Scourges are sweeps" though anyone is free to do so with their toys.

A surprise package came for me the other day from Entertainment Earth, it was the two sharkticons I had ordered. I call it a surprise because I missed the shipping notification (I get too many emails) and I wasn't expecting them to arrive for a month or two, like my Wreck-Gar/Sweeps case that also arrived earlier than expected. Anyway. They're a nice set. I'm impressed by the transformation, namely the feet folding onto the back. I wish the robot head could hide better. I stuck them on my movie shelf which is pretty much out of room, and I still don't even have a Quintesson judge to put up there to complete the set. Oof.

Yeah I agree, the Sharkticon is a great little figure.
The back of the head showing in the mouth doesn't even bother me that much.
If those ever go on a sale, I may snag a couple more... I could be okay with having 5 of those guys.

I'm going to guess they're all figures that walked out of factory, all of that seller's auctions are for loose figures that either just came out or haven't come out yet. They even sold another lot of 5 Sharkticons. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/284374562440?ha ... SwX2Ng8nbs
