Hey everyone!
What's the verdict on these toys? I've been hankering after 'em for a while and I finally got Jango Fett and Darth Vader yesterday. I like 'em a lot. Jango looks like he's wearing a barrel in robot mode, and his legs are pretty spindly, but otherwise I'm happy with him. Vader looks fantastic. They're clever figures and the vehicle modes are extremely accurate. I love the tiny tiny pilots you get with them as well! So cute.

ehh, they're shite. they don't pose for anything, and their very cheaply made.
trust me, i've gotten PLENTY for gifts.
if you're into sw big time, you'll probably enjoy them alot.
they look much better in vehicle mode in most cases. ie: boba/jango fett

I saw pictures of the Luke/Snowspeeder yesterday and that looks to be my favorite of the bunch but I really don't see myself shelling out the cash for them.

I'm thinking about getting the Clone Trooper/Republic Gunship. Does anyone have that one, is it any good?

I consider them to be some of the goofiest looking toys I've seen in recent memory...

The Han and Chewie figure sure look goofy. They're basically half the Millennium Falcon each with the character's heads stuck on top. Still... I kind of want them...

I have Oniwan Starfighter, and Luke X*Wing. Looks is kind of wobbly.
The only other SW I want is the Vader Deathstar.

Im a huge clone trooper fan and i made themistake of buying this piece. He lookskick ass in jet mode but in robot mode, this thing is garbage! the legs are longer than the body and are soooooo skinny he looks unproportioned.

They should be rounded up and treated to a good old fashioned book burning.
Only we use SWTF figures instead of books.

I have one of each mold they released last year (but no repaints), and they've been really hit or miss. I really like the Clone Trooper and Palpatine figs. The Darth Tie fighter and Luke X-wing were travesties of engineering. They had very specific vehicle modes to start with... I'm not sure how, for the price, they didn't end up with something like the Alternators, but with SW vehicle modes.
The best of what was out last year was the Millennium Falcon. The Han Solo half is slightly out of proportion, but the Chewie half is awesome. The vehicle modes, as are all of the vehicle modes for this line, are pretty much spot on, especially as you get later in the run.
Aside from some of the awkward engineering issues, the biggest problem with the line is conceptual. Star Wars characters' signature vehicles become a mech that they pilot, I guess is the premise. The Cheese Factor skyrockets with the faces of those mechs. The figs would have been a lot nicer if they'd not tried to make the mech's face match the characters'.
That said, the hoses & pipes standing in for Mech-Chewbacca's hair is a nice little touch.
I wish this line had been scrapped instead of Alternators. Then again, there probably would not have been an Alternators Death Star.
