The only crossover I haven't seen in stores is Top Gun.

But I did preorder this from Amazon. I wish the old Marvel crossover line had this sort of quality; they're all hitting the mark for me; at mostly. Even Maverick, TBH, even if he isn't perfect. The only old crossover I wish I picked up is Ghost Rider.

Heavy Earthrise Hoist retool?

Like Gigawatt was for Sideswipe and Ecto-1 for Combiner Wars Onslaught/Hotspot.

That's just a gross supposition. It could also be a completely new mold like the Maverick.

Honestly, the gross hollow thighs made me think of cyberverse, and after looking at the deluxe prowl, they share a disturbing number of transformation similarities, from the way the chest is formed to the way part of the bumper protrudes from the front of the knees...

My biggest potential complaint with JP93 is the ball joint elbows
I'd imagine they'd get loose over time

Easy fix, I do it all the time: just pop 'em off and cut a tiny square of paper towel, wrap it around the part of the ball that will be in the cup and pop it back on, instant tight ball joint ;)^

I'm with you, the first thing I said once I saw both his modes was "he looks like he transforms like a Datsun". It's entirely possible they just copy-pasted the engineering and transformation with all new parts.

This is a weird mash-up of previous transformations. The upper torso is most like SS86 Jazz with the shoulders and the backpack, except with Datsun door wings. The legs look most like ER Hoist, sort of.

Japanese artist Rui Onishi has Tweeted some (unofficial?) art she made for Tyrannocon Rex.

She was also nervous about getting the name right since it's so long.

Rexy looks fantastic, glad she is coming!

JP93 is really neat, I like the pair!

The price was high, but the set was very popular it seems. I'm glad I went in

Canadians have to pay 155$CAN (125.50$US) for this set. This really douse the flammes of passion from anyone slightly willing to get this.

I know however, that I cannot wait for a sale because I have no idea if this will be a Maverick (barely distributed) or a Gigawatt (everywhere like plague rats). Because that set is big and damn expensive, I tend to believe that it will be the former.

So, what do?

The only way to have this at a reasonable price is to finally cave in for that Amazon Mastercard offer and get the 35$CAN gift card as a welcoming promotion. Unfortunately, the gift card is only applied AFTER the full taxes of the regular price were calculated. That means I pay more taxes that I should. Oh well, better than nothing.
So instead of paying 178.20$CAN (144.13$US) total with taxes and free shipping, I pay 143.20$CAN (115.83US) total. Not too bad. It's as if that 35$ served to soak up the Canadian surcharge.

All in all, that's about 24.78$CAN (20.05US) that I pay more for the "Premium" content compared to a normal leader and deluxe at full price. That's a reasonable % compared to DOUBLE the price of Gigawatt and Ectotron Afterlife.

Now, to wait for November...

Speaking of Ectotron Afterlife, I keep seeing this guy online for $70-80 as opposed to regular Ectotron for $45-50. Which is a bummer because I prefer the afterlife paintjob but im not down to pay an extra $30 for it
Hopefully patience will pay off

Agreed, not too attached to the guy for my collection, just kinda wanted him for fun. Same with Gigawatt but gigawatt was way more affordable and won't look as out of place haha

Man, this one really bugged me when it came to the price difference. Did the original come with the comic? Because the extra ghost wasn't all that. I mainly got it because I had that Target $25 toy coupon at the time. Very glad I did because he is a fun character despite being based upon a slightly older mold. Anke-tilts would be able the only addition I can think of. I'm strange but ankle-tilts are a huge plus to me.

Not that I know of but I never paid much attention to the original. I know the colors were meant to focus on the alt mode more than anything but I didn't like all the white in Robot mode which is why I prefer the afterlife version. Ankle tilts are definitely a big plus haha I never thought much of them until I started pulling out some of my older generations figures without the tilt and their stances and posing being limited
I did find afterlife version on ebay for $52-$55 so that's a significantly better deal. Just still not sure if I want to dish that out for a figure I'm not particularly attached too

I just wanna have another crossover guy to go with gigawatt, and I'd be able to use him with starscream/waspinator and any other ghost/monster-like bots (Bludgeon, fossilizers, lugnut, Sky Byte, etc)

Transformers Generations Collaborative: Jurassic Park Tyrannocon Rex & Autobot JP93 video review.

Greetings Seibertronians!
Razorbeast88 have pointed us out that Chefatron have posted the video review of the Jurassic Park X-Over set Tyrannocon Rex & Autobot JP93.

The set is an hommage to the classic 1993 movie. Tyrannocon is a repaint of Kingdom Leader Beast Megatron with a new head while Autobot JP93 is a completely brand new mold.

Most of the budget of this set seems to have been for the altmodes that are beautifully painted with lots of details. The Tyrannocon bot mode seems to be lacking in painted details while Autobot JP93 have unsightly hollow gaps, notably in the inner thighs.

You can see the video review below:

What do you think of this set? Is it worth the asking price? Let us know what you think!

First, if you want to post that bullcrap "stolen toy" comment, shut up. Lots of figures are coming out all over the world in advance and the guy have the box.

Second, not worth the money IMO for that baffling 155$CAN price. Especially for the hollow gaps in the Autobot JP93 bot mode and the blandness of Tyrannocon's bot mode. That set would need at least 50$ more in Reprolabels and 3D printed upgrade kits to make it worthwhile.

Expensive granted, but it’s the sheer coolness of the set for crossover fans that does the trick… if I didn’t already have the megatron mould I’d have gone for this.

The jeep is definitely giving me potential skids vibes
