Going back through G1 tech specs recently and noticed that only 2 G1 Decepticons had a "Rank" of 10 (of the TF's sold in the U.S. anyway). The first was Megatron (and his later Action Master form), but the other surprised me.

Anyone remember who it was?

Bludgeon....- he knew Metallikato. It pays to know martial arts.

Nope. Bludgeon's rank is actually lower than Stranglehold's!

It's Gutcruncher. I remember noticing it and thinking it was odd too. I guess it's cos according to his bio, he's more of an independant merchant type than a fully-fledged Decepticon

Yep, it was Gutcruncher. Come to think of it, there were only a handful of Autobots with a rank of "10" - Optimus Prime, Jetfire, Rodimus Prime, Fortress Maximus, etc.

What really surprised me is that there were more Deceps with a rank of "9" than Autobots with a rank of "9".

Of course, the toy tech specs are known for being "a little off" sometimes. (G1 Scorponok is a great example)
