Or, we're projecting what we really, really hope to be the case :)

Honestly, we can just put them next to eachother. While connecting is fun, it's sometimes cumbersome. I was trying to put a bunch of Earthrise bases together with my son and some just weren't really working out, so I just stuck them close together. We still had a blast (off!, we had 2 shuttle launches, a baby one and a big one)

They came out after Micro Masters or before? I'm curious as to which inspired the other.

Micro Machines launched 1988 while micromasters debuted 1989

These remind me of the MM Travel City pocket playsets, only larger and more complex, so color me intrigued. I still have my pocket playsets. Anyone have the Heliport they want to sell me?

Anyway, it seems the included vehicle is random, but are the playsets themselves labeled, or is that "blind" also, because that would be a terrible idea!

The playsets are blindboxes themselves and not all are Transformers related

They are a different toy made of very tiny cars and playsets, not made by Hasbro (the Transformers products we are seeing and in this article are only licensed from Hasbro). Ownership of the brand has changed throughout the years but those miniature cars are still around today and they have already released many small cars, including a Chevrolet Camaro, which you can currently buy at Target or elsewhere.

I think there's a little confusion here or maybe the wording is just confusing since it seems to imply Hasbro doesn't own Micro Machines and Wikipedia definitely has their info wrong. Hasbro still owns Micro Machines and has since they bought Galoob in 1998. Jazzwares currently makes them under license from Hasbro. Hasbro copyright still show up on new images. On Amazon it says "MICRO MACHINES is used with permission. (c) 2021 Hasbro. All Rights Reserved. Licensed by Hasbro" on regular Jazware's products. This makes the Transformers Micro Machines probably a very expensive pair of licenses for them, no wonder why they're starting out the line with easy cash grab blind boxes.

Nothing is implied, just stating facts. Hasbro is not making these micro machines

Right, but saying "Ownership of the brand has changed throughout the years" implies multiple changes since Hasbro bought Galoob in '98.

Why? It was with Galoob and now it isn't because ownership of the brand has changed since then. Maybe it's because english is a second language for me but I don't see anything incorrect in what is written.

The only micro machine transformer I want is G1 Blurr, advertised by the same actor that played him in the movie...if you know what zi mean. That advert would complete the circle...

Did I read correctly? The playsets are blind boxed AND they're a mix of regular and Transformers-themed sets? I've kinda lost a little interest in this now since I'd only want the Transformer ones.

It probably is an English thing. "Throughout the years" always indicates something happening multiple times, you wouldn't ever use it for something that happened one time unless you specifically say it happened one time. It has been with multiple companies, two (and a licensee), but the subject of the phrase was the ownership and that only changed once without saying so. Saying "ownership changed once over the years" would have worked, but it would have made the rest of the sentence awkward.

English is fun!

TFW2005 user MountainSound bought a couple of the blind packs and revealed some secrets: the packs are labeled with a letter on that bottom that indicates the set piece and the options for vehicles that can be inside. While not all of them are Transformers, a few of the kits are guaranteed to have one:

Will these vehicles be released separately at some point? I'd hate to be stuck buying two of the same set to get both cars. At least we have some idea of how to find the cars and which set is which.

Codes and Better Look at the Modular Micro machines Mystery Transformers Sets

A fan bought one of the new Transformers Micro Machines Mystery Packs and we now have a much better idea of what these packs entail. Firstly, while there are 6 possible sets, each set can come with 1 of 2 possible vehicles. In the end, you have a 50/50 chance of getting a Transformers themed vehicle in your mystery pack since 6 of the twelve are Transformers. The sets have codes at the bottom of the package so you can figure out which one you are getting. Below are the codes along with images, all from MountainSound who posted it on the TFW2005 boards.

1A 01 (Adventure Racing Truck)
IA 02 (Cliffjumper)
1B 01 (Prime)
1B 02 (ROTF Megatron)
2A 01 (Food Truck)
2A 02 (19 BMW M6)
2B 01 (Nemesis Prime)
2B 02 (Sideswipe)
3A 01 (Private Jet)
3A 02 (Starscream)
3B 01 (19 BMW M6 again)
3B 02 (Bugatti)

I'm not as sure about repaints like Cliffjumper and Nemesis Prime, but I'm sure we'll see Prime, Megatron, Starscream, and Sideswipe released separately.

If you use the codes from the article, you should be able to pick the sets you want from the display. Assuming you can see the codes.
