how do you treat your transformers figures?

do you see your transformers collection as art form or just simple ordinary toys to play with. for those who have hundreds of them in their collection, which piece(s) do you considered are the most valuable ones that you won't dare to trade or sell.
let's say, if there's a fire, and you can only bring one figure with you, which one will it be?

I treat all of my transformers with the utmost care, I even use tools when transforming them to make sure I'm not putting too much pressure on their parts. If I still have their boxes, then I keep them there, otherwise, off to the shelves they go.
If I had to save one of my TF's during a fire, I'd choose MP Megatron, because he's one of my favorites and is harder to replace than the others.

i beat 'em like they owe me money.
no serisously,
it's an investment. they need cleaning, care, love.
personally, i transform them only once, and that's out of alt mode. any ones that come in robot, have never been transformed. i dunno. if i wanted a car model, i would collect those, but i like robots.
then they sit on a shelf and i pose them a little different after cleaning time. which has been getting lax lately. time to whip the slave girl some more.

I treat good because if I dropped it I would say *cough* to *cough* the *cough* toy *cough* sorry *cough* and I treat it like I treat others.

My collection is inspiration. I say that without ego.

Each toy or character has a story either about the character or how I acquired it. I know them all.

I don't sell or trade figures. The only ones which I might consider getting rid of are original G1 things which are missing parts or where it would be cheaper to buy a 100% complete one than to pick up numerous parts.

If there were a fire, they'd all burn.

They're insured.

Sadly, they are in a box, but each are in a separate bag.
The only one who has very special attention is Optimal Optimus.

Well, i cant stand it when my figs are in boxes! ... So they are all opened, except for The Robot Heroes :-P

I keep em away from sunlight and funny odours, like the smell there comes when you cook.

I display them and Transform them, and i can do a lil playing sometimes

I keep the boxes ofc 8)

I put them on my shelves in cool positions, then come back to them half an hour later and repose them. I don't play with them so much as just position them in cool scenes. Currently Classics Bumblebee is being overwhelmed by Ransack Gts and Wipe-Out, and Shortround is fighting off the Dinobot minicon team. Ti Megs and Magnus are just kinda standing looking cool. I tried making Scrapmetal walk upside-down on the bottom of one of the shelves, but the blu-tac wasn't strong enough. A man can dream though...

I am fairly careful with them. I never try to transform them without instructions the first time in case I break them. Once I've practised a transformation a few times then I don't use the instructions anymore.

I rip them out of the boxes and I throw the boxes away.
I play with the figures for a couple of weeks before I start contemplating taking a screwdriver and disassembling them. Almost everyone of them is kitbash fodder.
The only figures I really "collect" are Beast Wars characters that appeared on the show. My collection of that is almost complete. Unlike other collectors, they are ALL out of their boxes.
To me, they are toys meant to be played with. They only become "art" once I customize them.
If I had to choose only one toy to rescue, I would probably die in the fire because I stood there contemplating too long.

well i treat them like toys. some have been seriously played with more then others. i try to keep them in good condition. there all in a huge box waiting for the day when i make the $$ with my art to properly display them.

I set them on fire, have my dog pee on them, and throw them down the stairs-uncarpeted. Oh, and I bash them as hard as I can against walls, and concrete sidewalks.

NOT! :-P

I try to take care of them. My poor little G1's are my oldest ones, and they need the most love. I keep them out of direct sunlight, and in dry, non-stuff room. I dust them, and make sure they are clean. After my move, they're all going into glass cases (the older ones), and bookcases (newer ones).

I take most of my figs out of the box, put them in 'bot mode if they aren't already and put them somewhere. I don't really play with mine, only if I'm in the mood. Only a few stay in package, and those I put on the wall if I can. I've always taken good care of my toys since I was a child and still do today. I clean them when they need it. I can never see myself trading one of my figs, I love them way too much. I even have a problem when others touch them (been like that since a kid too). The only way I would trade is if I had an extra one or something. I don't even want to think about a fire, I wouldn't be able to choose just one to save. LOL.

I play with them a lot. I'd never leave them in a box. I'll never get a Transformers if I don't intend on playing with it.

My most precious transformer is my MP-04 Optimus Prime. My girlfriend carried it halfway around Japan and over 4 plane trips just to give it to me as a Christmas present. I'll NEVER sell it.

Where I live, we have a dust problem. Though it is the house, and not the general area. My mother says all the dust in our house is the equivelent of 30 dead people. Because, as you know, dead people turn into dust.

I have just one figure, Mp Starscream, and I am careful with him. I like to pose him and use him to hold my stuff. I might even dress him up one day. Dressing up figures is fun, especially if it is tissue paper dresses. His (or her) little hands are good for holding little flowers and things.

Mine are treated like an investment--transformed occasionally, dusted regularly with a feather duster, rarely handled by anyone but me.

The only ones that are played with are my universe spychangers and mini-cons when my daughters paly with them.

With 6 grand kids...I keep all of them MISB until they are old enought to know what a treasure grandpa has!! Yea im a old fart(43) that love transformers and never had my own toys(with 4 more brother and lots of hand-me-down toys, this my time to have my own toys!) so i get to keep them as is and look at them as often as I can(there're all in the basement).

OHHH and if there was a fire...I'll try to look for Rat Trap(all of them, I have 4 of them) but in the end I know they'll all burn, with me trying to find them!

Most of mine (aside from my new acquisitions) are from my childhood - as a result, they're not in the box, they're played with, and some are missing parts, but they're toys in my eyes. Even the new ones don't stay in the box, they sit on a shelf (or pose for a group photo on the kitchen table). I don't play with them like I did when I was 6-8-10 years old, but even then I took care of them and continue to do so. Right now Ratchet and Jazz FAB's guard my computer, Leader Prime is sitting in truck form with Voyager Ironhide standing on the flat bed, and the '08 Bumblebee is using his giant blade thing like it's his middle finger to flip off passers by. They'll get dusted and checked out and occasionally transformed, they'll stay in good condition, and they're enjoying the ride.

The real collectible stuff I leave to the collectors, like MISB G1's and the MP's...that's not my style, but I'll never deride someone for it being theirs.

blkbitcloud1, I'd lower my INT rating if I admitted that I'd die in a fire looking for Ratbat.

I keep mine on my shelves, I transform my classics almost every day, my G1 collection stays in bot mode and I rarely transform them. I really enjoy my collection and my favorite one is probably Classics Skywarp followed by Botcon Thrust, but I like to many others to post.

i treat em like pets ( well not like so but very close to ) i never throw them to the floor or the wall, i always try to not break anithing of em while transfroming em , i sometimes clear the dust in them and if i would need to choose between all my transformers id take either movie prime or rid prime.
