Hi, I have a couple of UNOPENED alternators, would shrink wrapping the box bring harm to it?

Theres a couple of alternators that I won't be opening.
Is shrink-wrapping it a good idea to preserve it?

it could damage the plastic on the box. might i suggest you just get some large ziplock bags if you're going about it that way

Why even bother to seal it? If it's that much of a concern pay AFA or get one of those AFA type hard plastic cases they are available online. Shrinkwrapping them assuming it is really shrinkwrapped it silly IMO (no offense) b/c it doesn't really protect the toy from anything just dust. I.e. no UV blocking rays, doesn't reduce oxidation or paper discolorization/bleeding, etc. IMO one unexpected thud from anything and well you have a shrinkwrapped damaged/dent/crushed toy. Good luck with your protection plan and let us know too what you decide.

I have 9 alternators, 1 of which is opened. I also have 2 binaltechs, one of which is opened. I have one binaltech and 1 Alternator shrink wrapped at the moment. i am not seeing any issues with either one, yet. This may be informative for you too.
