The reason I'm asking this question is because I don't know if they can make galvatron a laser cannon here in the united states because of the toy laws. So if they can't do that what do you think they will turn him into since they have said he will not be a repaint of classic megatron.

They could make a Classics Galvatron with a G1-esque alt mode without any problems.

But I don't know that they are going to be making a Galvatron at all.

My bet is on the laser cannon. Megatron was a laser gun so I don't see why Galvatron couldn't be a laser cannon. The laws are more stringent about gun-looking toys. Id say the original galvatron cannon looks less like a real gun than Classics megs. So, my money is on some type of laser cannon.

Can't make Galvy into a laser cannon? Hah! It depends on how they make him into a laser cannon. They did manage to make Megatron into a gun in the classics line. His lime green wings are horrid, but that aside, he is a pretty good figure.

I think it would be BORING to have Galvy as yet another Tank. Now, I know, Prime has been a Semi for YEARS in many different series, but they've managed to make it work rather well. But for some reason, I don't want Galvy to be a tank.

Maybe a Canon of some sort. A really BIG cannon like in the military arsenal. Or a mobile missile launcher, or mobile cannon. Heh, okay, that's sounds like a tank.

They can definitely make Galvatron! It's a purple futuristic cannon, it doesn't even resemble an actual lethal weapon.

Theres no reason he cannot be his proper G1 self.

On a side note my sister once asked me while looking at Galvatron "What is that, some sort of dog?"

Hopefully if the ultra class will be revived for the new classics figure it not only be a starscream blasting space laser cannon - it will also have lights and sounds for that real nostalgia kick

well not only that but the tip of the cannon IS orange so it will fit in with the laws just fine.

Currently I keep Energon Galvatron with my classic Decepticons. He's close enough that I don't feel I really need a classics version, although I'd definitely buy it because Galvatron is one of my favourite characters...

...also, I seem to buy everything anyway these days.

I hope not. Lights and sounds get in the way of posability.
Plus I am tired of Leaders toys having to be TOWERING over their underlings.

I reckon they'll probably make him into a nerf machine gun, considering that Megs is a nerf blaster.

they could always import BWsecond galvatron. i have him and he is awesome.

Purple cannon with orange barrel. No need to change him up much at all, really. They'd be changing the concept of Classics if they did.

I hope he's just like G1 Galvatron, but with more show/comic accurate sculpt and paint, and ofcourse, more articulated.
