Takara's reveals continue with the next Masterpiece release: Masterpiece MP-53+B Dia Burn Out

This is another Diaclone-based redeco of Masterpiece Skids with a new headsculpt. As told to us by fellow Seibertronian Sabrblade, she keeps the name originated by BotCon 2015, with the "Dia" part having been the name of the mech's pilot in the BotCon 2015 comic story. It is cool how Takara does integrate BotCon fiction into their Masterpiece line.

Below are images and preorders should be up at your favourite western online retailer soon. But don't expect to find this figure on Amazon Japan since it is a TTMall exclusive in Japan. The figure releases in march 2023.

I love that she has a completely new headsculpt to the other versions of this mold. Her deco is pretty sweet, too. Already preorderd so she can join her mold brothers!

Looks pretty badass, I think I'll get it. Hopefully other Diaclone characters recently "canonized" by regular toylines will get the same treatment (I'm particularly fond of Breaker). Still hoping for a G1 Barricade BTW.

Waaaghh fourth use and I've not even bought a single toy of it yet. Catching up is going to be expensive.

They're really milking this mold but I'm glad to support a non-anime styled release as much as possible. Keep it up Takara!

She is stunning! I really want to pass on her since I did just get the Velocitron one and I already have reboost, but she is really nice looking, and she is remarkably affordable right now too

Quoting myself from almost a year ago to tell that Age 3 & Up has charged me for my preorder some days ago. It's not shipped yet but it should be relatively soon.

I finally had "the time" to open her so here's my TlDr review.

Diana comes with all the accessories that Reboost had, the only exception is that the "hologram" rider is now a woman.
Also, the weapons are not chrome for some reasons but in full plain unpainted black. That's a bummer but not the end of the world. Most of these will be box-warmers anyway.



The car is still nice as ever. She got the same "turbo bump" on her hood as Skids. but like Reboost, no to be seen.



The transformation is almost as simple as your average SS figure. Pretty damn nice, especially after I tried out that garbage that is the 3P X-Transbot "Skids."



Even with that new and unique head, only those who know the lore can know Diana is a fembot.



It's the first time I love a MP so much that I had to get every versions. If they ever make more, I'll get them!
