The million dollar tf auction will be relisted again on ebay

Hi everybody:

My original auction got ended by a bogus “Buy it Now” on Monday (7/16), so I’ve taken the opportunity to re-think the whole thing and have re-listed.

Please visit the new listing at http://cgi.ebay.com/The-Ultimate-Boxed- ... dZViewItem

The listing opens with a full explanation of what happened, and the exciting changes I’ve made for the new auction.

Thanks for your interest in the first auction, and happy bidding on this one!

Phoenix

PS – My apologies if you received more than one copy of this message—I had to go through all the original messages from the first listing to try and get the emails off of them (there were over 250), so I probably duplicated a few. It’s going to be especially bad if you sent me a bunch of messages through ebay—I tried to remember which ones I already copied and pasted, but as I went along it all became very fuzzy. Sorry.

You are not going to get a million dollars for that collection, no matter what the sad circumstances that you had were. The collection just is not worth that much at this time. Maybe in 50-100 years, after other people's collections become lost or destroyed and they are harder to find??

The question now is, what is her reserve?

It's not me. Tell her. She emailed me this notice cause I emailed her about the auction before on ebay.

woah....dude...why sell it? KEEP IT!!! Not worth a million bucks by no means but still, if you put up some shelves, opened up the boxes and posed those babies youd have one helluva display!

She knows it's not worth the million, read the auction description.

It's cool to see some of the licensed merch. I haven't seen alot of that stuff in a real long time.

I think if she took the time and created an online photo museum she would make a lot of money just on advertisements. And if she doesn't have the resources I am sure she can work with someone that does have the resources and just sit back and enjoy the income.

Why make just an online museum? Why not make a REAL one? Let people into your home and marvel at all these vintage, mint toys displayed inside glass display units? It'll be the transformer museum, people (especially fans) would flock to it, and it would add a very nice niche to whatever town they live in.

Snap, did you see what she did to megatron. As smurfette would say Oh Boo Hoo boo hoo that mean and nasty and horrible. Oh Boo Hoo.

She plugged him.

That's another idea (both would be better), either way she makes good money.

^^^^^^ Awesome.

I was wondering the other day what happened with this auction.

A million? Not a chance in hell.

She could get a **** ton of $$$$ if she split them up to sell individually though.

The Megatron issue is interesting, especially considering that NO American Megatron, boxed or otherwise has ever had the firing mechanisms included. (aftermarket additions, I don't count.)

Hi Seibertronians:

Thanks for your postings about my "Million Dollar" Transformers auction--I appreciate the interest.

I wanted to share the news that bids are at $99,100 as I write this, which is at the threshold of the reserve.

Yes, I may be crazy, but my BIN price got lots of fingers onto keyboards and WAY more interest in my auction than I would have gotten otherwise.

Anyway, keep up the auction chit chat--the TF collecting community has made this a truly memorable experience--good comments or mean--for me... thanks!

Wow..nearly 100 k. I would still keep them all though, or just sell the duplicates. Why someone would want to sell such a mind blowing collection is unimaginable in my eyes.

I wouldnt spend it on toys, lol. As much as i love transformers, i can find better things to spend a hundred grand on.

why don't you keep all the TFs in your collection and instead, open a museum like the others said in this thread?

it would be very unique, and i'm sure people will flock to it. sure, you may not get the financial returns immediately, but over time, you MAY accumulate more than the million bucks you're asking for the collection.

besides, you'll never know where your treasure trove will end up. maybe some grubby rich kid with no respect at all for TFs will get them (gasp). judging from the quality of your collection it seems you really took good care of them through the years. 8)

anyways, just my humble opinion, milady.

sigh...too bad people already bid on it. guess you can't take it back then. best of wishes to your auction though. hope that whoever gets it will really take good care of them. 8)

Not gonna get a mil for it, no matter how sad the story is.
