Hasbro revealed a "new" Optimus Prime based on the Skybound Energon Universe comic books where he dons Megatron's arm after his is destroyed and he rips it off.

Using the SS86 Prime mold, the arm is retooled and made to look more like Megatron's and surprisingly enough given an entirely new fusion cannon that is an improvement over SS86 Megatron's cannon.

He also get's a new head sculpt to better resemble the comic books.

Price apparently is $79.99 and will be a Pulse Exclusive available sometime in November.

It's really cool. In another point in time I'd be very on this. But I already have a KO that comes with a trailer and Starscream parts (those parts are what pushed me over the edge, TBH).

Still, I wonder if there's still room for the trailer with that cannon attached? And I wonder if the canon is compatible with Megatron? Can' t be on both point, right?

So this guy gets a proper fusion cannon. But SS86 Megs gets a dud.

And look at that black 'smokestack' in truck mode.

There are more pics of it. It doesn't look like it can be placed at the top like in many other shots.

NGL, I do like how it looks, quite a bit. If they're cribbing KO and 3P stuff I so wish they had made the hammer on the Megatron arm reversible so you could mount it on top. It's also good to get a greater range of motion.
