IMHO, the battle damage is just an excuse for the rest of the paint to look like crap (the paint around the doors of my BB'08 is not pretty, and I've only had it a week, Ironhide and Leader Prime still look great, though)

The Transformers in the movie were battle damaged in robot mode but their vehicle modes were always pristine!
The black stripes in the hood will scratch right off. I had to use a permanent marker to fix the stripes. And the paint around the doors on mine also looks really half-assed.

no beat up bot pics.
I hope his legs are built so I can sheer off the lower halfs. I want him to crawl and suffer for his misbegotten life like in the movie!

It amuses me that the "Battle Damaged" version of Bumblebee seems to have better yellow paint apps than the original.
Huge pass on this figure, although Hasbro is slowly getting better at "Battle Damaged" figures.

Hey that's cool! Great job!
Do his legs blow apart for ultimate movie-accuracy?

lol. No but that might be an idea for the next one. It was hard enough finding this figure at Target. I just happend to be in the store around 8:35pm when the stock guy put this and an ARCEE on the pegs. I think he was doing go-backs. I lucked out.

I like the idea of battledamaged figs, but there just isn't enough of a difference for me to pick this up after I get the '08 version. If his legs were removable than I'd be all over it.
C'mon Hasbro, make it happen!

I would buy cybercustomizer's version, but not the repaint-battle damaged one that traget or walmart would sell

If you wanted to do the poor man's method, you could just pop the legs off that one. They're ball joints and are not hard to take off or put back on. If they get loose you can put a coat of clear nail polish on the male piece.
