I remember a few months ago a rumor of a Swoop prototype surfacing as a possible reissue. Has anything come of that or is it safe to say its a dead rumor?

I believe it turned out to be a knock off

They are indeed KO's. I am looking on the toym forum, there was a few threads about them showing up on Ebay already.

It would be cool if Swoop did get reissued though.

have to wonder exactly what it would take to get takara to do that.

it seems neither hasbro or takara really cares for reissues anymore(besides soundwave)..chances are better for the remaining four dino's to get the knockoff treatment from china than for hastak to reissue them..

also, the most common one found on ebay is the $150 variety...i did find one a few days ago for half that, but they quickly sold out. keep your eyes peeled to ebay if you want one...
