What a steal!

Last night, by chance, I was browsing eBay and found myself a G1 Soundwave with Rumble (AKA Frenzy or Red Rumble). The bid at the time was 10 bucks, and it was 12 minutes from ending. At 6 minutes from end, I put in a bid for 10.50. At 5 minutes, someone else put in 11, I put in 12, and then 2 minutes, I raised my maximum bid to 15.

Got it. This is my bounty:

Was it worth the 15 bucks? I'm using it primarily as a display piece, rather than a collection piece, so it's fine without the box, but is there a piece missing? I can only assume that the batteries are in the back part, but is the back part gone as well?

It should be arriving in 2 weeks. I'm excited.

Yeah it looks like it is missing:
Battery cover
two "batteries" —his guns
Originally came with Buzzsaw
Buzzsaw's two rocket packs

Rumble is missing his other gun

It looks like you got it for around actual price. Won't be able to tell until you transform it and see if it is missing any other parts or too floppy.

still a nice find, despite missing some pieces.. you could check for the left overs on ebay and it shouldn't run you too much. enjoy

Do you know if I could find another one of those? I've seen a bunch of batteries, but no battery cover. And if I can find one, how much do you think it would go for?

I thought that as well, but the other gun appears to be under the first, and the seller verified this in an email.

Really nice seller too - since I'm a first time buyer, he's going to package a bonus with the figure. I'm HOPING it's another tape (Laserbeak or Ravage plz tank u), but I doubt it - I've seen tapes go for 20 bucks (ridiculous). It could be Bumblebee or Deception something - the highest I've seen one of those go for is 16 bucks, normally 4 or 5 bucks.

transformerland apparently has the battery cover in stock. I've never ordered anything from them so I don't know how great they are, but their site is a great reference source to see what pieces you are missing and to identify any parts you have.

Transformerland.com is the best TF resource for G1 figures and spare parts on the web, outside of eBay.

I have ordered from them at least 6 times and never been disappointed. Just be sure to read the part description carefully. Matt uses stock photos for figs and parts.

You did well. Now that you have started you need to get all the rest in the G1 Series! Just another 100 or so to go

I've seen tons of battery covers on ebay. They all seem to hit ebay at the same time and then you won't see any for a week or two. Kind of weird.

Who was your seller? I've had some very nice sellers on ebay in the past and your seller sounds possibly like the last one I bought from, either way I like to pass the names of good transformer ebay sellers along to the rest of the board.
