While this is almost tempting enough to get me to sample the Devastation Bee mold, this particular Goldfire feels like the Leader Class Jetfire that finally broke the camel's back and made me hold out for a proper Skyfire.

Enough with these blue-headed compromises between the original Bee and Goldbug's toy faces! We need a proper Bug with a head that's entirely gold/yellow except for his white, bulging, almond-shaped eyes, and a mouth-plate defined by harsh, jutting vertical w-ridges! Because Marvel Goldbug did at least 20X more in fiction than 'toon Goldbug, even if you add in the Headmasters anime!

Considering our newest batch of cassettes is delving further than ever into unused TF:TM concepts, I'm starting to get genuinely irritated that this somehow has yet to happen!

Agreed on Goldbug getting an actual gold head. And I like the one that came in the Target 4-pack much better. It's an actual VW bug vehicle mode.
