I second that--absolutely. He's by far my favorite figure.

I will third it to make it official.

You wont regret buying this Prime. Lots of neat little touches and he has decent ankle joints to allow him to place his feet flat to the ground. If there is one thing I hate its when a TF has to stand on the edge of its foot.

Always room for 4. The figure is done very well. When I first saw the images of him I didnt know what I was going to think of the figure. But when I actually had him and was toying with him...wow the figure is just so bad ass, he looks bulky but he is actually done so well. I especially like the flip out arm cannon, and his tranformation is pretty nifty too.

Definately, ONE OF THE BEST TOYS I"VE EVEN SEEN!!!! looks loads better out of the box, if you can wait till the hype's died down though you'll probably find him in the reduced section!

Yes, awesome truck and robot modes, big cannon, G1 style chest, flames look good, best Prime I've ever owned. Actually all the movie Primes (protoform, voyager, leader) are good buys.

I looked at him and I didn't like the attached arm blaster that is why I went with robo-vision/voyager prime. But other than that he seems like a pretty sold figure I don't think you can go wrong from everthing I have read.

Sorry, couldn't resist... While reading this thread really fast, its the only things you can see. Ehehe. Ok, seriously, go get him. My only little tiny complaint is the same as everyone. The sword... Favorite Optimus to date, next to the obvious one of course...

I love him. Mind you I personally think he doesn't have many features/gimmicks - which is why I like him. He is a classic Transformer with a totally awesome new design. His gun is cool, his advanced automorph is epic, and that's about it when it coems to playability. He is more of a collectors item, and his awesomeness is a different awesomeness to that of Energon Prime or Cybertron Prime.

Just be careful. If the figure doesn't think you're awesome enough to own it, it will punch you, transform and roll out back to the store in hopes some one else will buy him.

Yeah I had a big discussion with mine. He then walked in my room looking at my collection and posing alongside other figures. And after all that, he gave me his approbation. Awww.. Optimus...

Oh and as far as waiting to buy him, I'm not too sure of him becoming a $19,99 special sale item. So its really up to you to wait and see or grab him now. We have plenty of him were I live, but I don't know for you. Your choice.

what would u guys think about this idea, the optimus toy should have had a retractable mouth plate/shield??? like u could open it to see his mouth and close it for battle?? that would have made the toy even more awesome than it already is

I wish they opted for that instead of the plasticky blaster they put on.
