Wal-Mart lingo - HELP!

So I go into Wal-Mart today and as usual the Deluxe pegs are empty (they have been so for the past week+). I ask the toy representative about it, who says:

"We just realized they were out, we are ordering more but it will take 3 WEEKS because they are "AD", if they were at the warehouse it would only have taken a couple days".

I should have asked her then, but what does "AD" mean (maybe I misunderstood her)? And 3 WEEKS? How can that be, is that just for that store or all Wal-Marts in the area?

I guess im looking for an current or ex-employee to clear this up for me - I think at this point my dreams of NOT having to pay 30$ for a '08 Bumblebee are dashed...

My girlfriend is an assistant manager at Walmart. She says there's two distinctions on how long it takes merchandise to arrive in the store...AD or assembly, takes 2-3 weeks, whereas warehouse merchandise will arrive in several days. It's that way at all stores.

Thanks Pontimax. It amazes me that it could take that long but I guess that is life.

I am honestly wondering at this point if there is a shortage of Deluxes/Voyagers at the moment directly from Hasbro. I was reading in another thread (cant find it right now) that Hasbro's TF sales have far surpassed their expectations.

If this is the case, there might be a temporary shortage until the Hasbro's factories can match supply to demand.

I wouldn't bank on that either. Target's exclusives are well known for selling out almost instantly. (Robovision Prime, anyone?)

Last time I checked, those were falling off the shelves at my Target. Nobody was really buying them.

Then you need to start pawning them. lol

I've never seen one in stores, and local people have been asking for them repeatedly. They keep getting a "No longer stocked" answer.

It sold out and hasn't returned, not once.
