I don't think they're useless. They're the kind of thing I'd give to my 6-year-old nephew (along with the FAB's), especially in a 6-pack. They're kinda cool, Scrable City limb-sized bots, maybe a little smaller, with pretty simple transformations.

They are great when you want to make displays. They can be used to show proper scale with figures like Metroplex. I buy the WSTs and Legends figures for diorama purposes.

I agree they are pretty useless and they really dont look good at all, but it is good for a gift, you know a simple transformers gift to your friends. Anyway, they are already out in my place(NO Kidding)

If they were displayed in some sort of battle scene like the recent Robot Heroes Decepticon Sneak Attack Walmart exclusive then that would make them more interesting.

I use the legends to show the alt modes for the bots. This way i dont have to spend alot of money to show both robot mode and alt mode. Plus they fit in a pocket really well. Im a fan of the legends and hopefully ill be able to find this when it comes out.

I could have sworn we knew this already. I'll get this of maybe 2 depending on the price, It just seems like a convienient way to pick up all of these in one shot.
