Ive been visiting my local walmart and target, (rather obsessively) looking for voyager prime and Ive noticed they arent getting movie deluxe models anymore. Just Voyagers (ratchet, blackout, starscream, ironhide) and the stompin battlers or whatever the hell those things are. Do you guys think they have stopped for any reason?

Each store orders differently. The store near me just got in some more deluxes. They also finally got in robot replicas, legends and leader primes. Just wait patiently, and you'll find them.

The only deluxes to be found in all of Reno for the past couple of weeks is Wreckage and a couple Swindles. None of the stores around here have been getting more deluxes, just voyagers.

did you ask the staff? maybe they are just holding off on the deluxes for some reason

I read somewhere here (I think the Walmart lingo thread) that the Walmart warehouses are out and waiting shipment from the factory (aka Hasbro). Figure go from the factory to Walmart's distrubution warehouses then to the stores. This can be a two week process.

Movie toys have been selling well. Very well, espcially movie characters. These days I see more families and individuals browsing the Transformer section. Some of the overheard conversations are funny: "Look, dad, there's Starscream." "Yes, son, it looks just like the one I had when I was a boy." WTF? Like I said, funny.

Every store in town? I'm not talking about just WalMart; I'm talking Targets and TRU as well. Nary a deluxe to be found, aside from Wreckage and Swindle. I have asked associates, they all just say they have nothing in the back and don't know what's on the trucks until they unbox it.

After selling 3 million units overall and having TFs save them from the Easy Bake Oven fiasco I very much doubt Hasbro would kill a good thing. That being said they did that when they killed G1 OP way back when leading to his inevitable ressurection so anything is possible I guess. Corporate decision sometimes do not make sense at the best of times.

i doubt theyre gonna stop shipping them. theyre just sold out everywhere. give it a month, and they'll be overflowing the toy aisle. and next thing you know, they'll have a transformers toys surplus that they put them on clearance.

Wait for the resets of both Target and Wal-Mart. You'll find what you're looking for then.

Remember last year with Cybertron Primus? He came out during the reset...in droves.

I've ntoiced this as well. They even are taking down transformer displays.

I'm now at the point where I dont want to pay full price for wreckage or protoform prime.. so im trying to wait until they go on sale, but dont want to wait to long incase they get put in the back or something! But I have noticed a lot of stores around here are very low on things and dont seem to be even making room for more.

It doesnt make sense to hold back stock- if that were the case it would be at the distribution center, since the DCPI would show stock in Target stores. I think its an ordering problem with the distributors- the retailers probably didnt order enough and reorders take time- usually 6 weeks from reorder to retail store.

most parents buy deluxe characters since they're cheaper, leaving more voyager class characters left

Usually kids will also opt for 2 deluxe characters as opposed to 1 voyager- what kind of battle can they have with 1.

i know, with tf toys being so rare right now they should make a law, kids should not be allowed to buy deluxe, voyager, or leader class, even if they're with their parent, cus they'll be too complicated, this way they'll be more for us the grown up fans. LoL

According to the Rep at SDCC, Hasbro has recently stepped up production of popular figures like BB. He said we will see them on shelves soon. We shall see in order to believe.

We'll have to see then... I mean even the '77 BB's I saw at TRU here (in Canada) yesterday night were already off the shelves this morning when I went there... I couldn't believe it was gone that fast still. The Barricades disappeared just as fast though.

All the stores in my area are bone dry of all things transformers, it took me 2 hours of store hopping to just find one that had some deluxes in stock, and all tey had were 3 Swindles. (which I got, and am now extremly happy with)

ROFL. hahaha. maybe the next toyline should come with a "PG" sticker on the card...so that we can bully the kids into not buying them because of that rating. :)) :))

To the topic creator. I don't think they're stopping production but more along the lines of them having trouble keeping up with demand. I work at TRU and we were getting low on Deluxe figures at the beginning of the week. I unloaded the truck on Thursday and there were no Voyager, Deluxe or Leader class Transformers in there. 1,327 cases and not a single box of Transformers figures. That's unheard of. I really do think they're having trouble keeping up with demand. I had to put out our last box of wave 2 Voyagers today because we somehow sold 4 more in one day.

Thanks for the info- you receive almost the same amount of wiis as TFs then- thats kinda crazy. I guess hasbro was fearful of a movie flop, so they kept production low, otherwise they would be selling BBs with 24 kt gold plating..who knows.
