There's always at least one sucker in the world, and sometimes all you need is one sucker to make a profit!

Seems like there are many of those- it looks to be selling well even at those prices. Do you think it also has to do with people having bad experiences on ebay and not-well-known web sites?

Most of the movie TFs on Amazon are outrageously priced. Look at the prices for movie leader Prime. They're all like $60-$80. I would never EVER pay that for leader Prime. And most of the other movie toys are over $20.
Those people are nuts.

both ebay and amazon are both ridiculously priced for BB. i dont see how are like "omg1 i have to buy toys so i can make money off of them." that not what collecting toys is about. if its a old piece, something that really is rare, then ok, its worth big bucks. but something barely a month old? not worth it.... scalpers

Yep, the prices will only stay high if people are willing to pay that. I sent my nephew a pepsi prime and a bumble bee. I dont want him having to hunt for toys or ask my sister to spend that much money on one. I didnt tell him- so in 2 days he will be a happy suprised kid- I always remember mail ordering TFs was a huge deal back during G1.

haha. yea, i remember mail order toys would take 4-8 weeks, which was a long time when you're a kid. next thing you know, during that time you forget about your mail order then BAM! outta no where, when you least expect it a package comes with your name on it. its like getting an early christmas present.

Every site has inflated prices. I just got a Target Voyager Prime for $37.50 on ebay. Believe it or not that was the cheapest deal I saw. Most were $32-40 with $10-15 s/h.

it's best to go to the real store sites like target or tru b/c the figs are the same price but you just pay for shipping extra. I approve

Yeah- I saw Voyager Megs available at Amazon (sold by Amazon at msrp) and thought they had tons- said to myself, "I wont post that"- next thing I knew- it was OOS. Sorry guys. Everyone wants different TFs- so its hard to guage what to post. For instance Transformers Collector's Club still has movie leader prime- but no one has mentioned it- and Im sure all the hardcore collectors have seen it.

All the scalpers out there have inflated prices on the net. So many kids are out there looking for BB you do not want to get in their way.

ouch. the 74 BB ain't even worth $10 IMHO. even coupled with the tEh EXCELLENT 08 BB, it shouldn't really break the $40 barrier. $112 - at that price, with a little bit of searching, patience and luck, you could bid and win yourself a MP-01 MISB prime.
but then, economics takes over. the law of supply and demand, my friends. the demand for BBs continue to soar, so the scalpers...
like you said, a 'foo and his money are soon parted.

Yeah I noticed this as soon as the movie came out. It's rediculous, and almost all of the Transformers toys seem to be effected on Amazon. Heck even Swindle, who is collecting dust at my Wal-mart, is 20$...
Check out the classics on there too, Grimlock for 85$? Bumblebee for 50$?I think not.

What's even more disconcerning is that new collectors are buying TFs thinking the price will continue to sky rocket. Eventually the market will be too saturated to sustain these crazy prices. I guess if you feel like getting rid of something, now is the time to do it.

Not everyone can use ebay services. Sometimes it's worth to buy from somewhere else.

I love how Leader Prime is only $40 (just ordered that sucker and came out better than buying it locally with free shipping) but Leader Megatron is $77.

Go to the department toystores more often. I haven't gotten 2008 deluxe Bumblebee yet. But I'm bound to see him ,and buy him for 10 bucks. I just know it. The same for others that have patience by looking around the stores for him ,and other movie figures.

You could argue though that by overpaying online you can actually save on time and gas (both = money) by not having to run to stores to check for him.

Oh I estimate I've spent $20 on gas going to various stores in town (and one in another town) already so far. And I drive a Mini, so mileage ain't bad.
