I somehow think that the deluxes from animated will feture the pre-earth forms of the transformers.
Best example is Prime.

The left colored one is the deluxe Prime the right not colored one is the voiger.
notice there chests and altmodes?
As a nother example is the promo pic of Prime.

See his chest?
And in the short clip we can see Prime with the deluxe chest wile the cons attack the bots, and latter on earth he has the more G1 chest.
That makes me think that the deluxes won't be just the small carecter like Bumblebee, but also the pre-earth forms.
Do you think so to?
And would you like that to be true?
let's discuss this.

I thost that to, but then I saw the clip and there he is with to different chests!
And the Deluxe and voiger are to big a different from each other.

I think it will just Prime that get the treatment. I doubt Hasbro would make 2 different figures in 2 different classes for the same character other than Prime. He's usually the only one that gets a figure in more than one size in the normal retail lines.
So yeah, i think we'll only see prime in 2 sizes.

Megatron should be getting a similar kind of treatment as he apparently spends most of the first season in his Cybertronian form and switches to Earth form at the end of the season. For the most part we will only see a little of Cybertronian forms at the begining, probably just in the introductory feature, so it doesn't make a lot of sense commercially to put out multiple toys of all the main characters. They have done multiple versions of most of the movie cast, but aside from the Protoforms these have all been various size classes or non transforming representations of the actual designs from the movie.

The Movie stuff I know about.
But as for multiple Animated toys, maybe there will be a season playing in the past, making it easier for Hasbro to relise pre earth toys.
I mean there are shows that did that.

I'm not saying that it's a bad idea DM but what we're looking at is 5 core Autobot characters with an extra Prime, about 6 core Decepticon characters and toys for all of the bit part TFs (Wreck Gar, Dinobots etc) that will be added to the cast roster as the series progresses and at least one 'playset' that will probably be the first priorities for having their own toys over Cybertronian modes. Also it's unlikely that say Bumblebee or Prowl will be any larger than a deluxe for the toy based on their main cartoon appearance just on the grounds that it's the top selling price point, and a pricing at which core characters will always sell well.

you can also see prime with and without mouthcap.. I wonder if that's a movie tie in as well (seen how bumblebee also shows his battle mask).. I don't want a mouth though

Actuly I think the Prime Headmold looks the best from all the ani toys. I realy like it.
And as for waaaaghlord, I never stated that you said it was a stupid idea, sorry if you thote so, it wasn't my intention.
Yea it would be kinda stupid to do so, but somehow kinda cool.

Even the goatee? but I admit, it looks good and better than the baseball helmet I was expecting.
I like their batman style of the cartoon.. maybe not the best for transformers but the "perspective" style fits animation pretty well

I like screamer too, especially the voice..
but I worry about the bot design, what I see on screamer I already have with classics Jetfire. especially the arm cannon and his feet.. almost exact replica's

Yea the voice rocks!
As for the design, the Energon Screamer was a duplicate of the G2 Dredwing miniplane! But still people bought it.

Prime's Cybertron form is definitely based off a Renault Radiance, as well.

That Bumblebee toy looks really neat. I don't like his elongated chin, though. It looks a lot longer than the animation model. The head kind of gets it wrong in the same way Marvel Legends Ultimate Ironman did. It reminds me a lot of it.

I actually have heard that there will be TFA toys released based on Cybertronian forms, not just Earth forms, and the way it was phrased made it sound like the 5 Autobots that make up the core of the Autobot team on Earth, as well as the 3 Decepticons that make up the core of the `Con team on Earth all get Cybertronian form toys as well as Earth form toys.
However, I will admit that it is possible that what I read may have been misphrased, and they were only talking about Cybertronian form toys for Prime and Megs.
However, I'm really hoping that at least the 8 main, core TFs will get Cybertronian form toys as well as the Earth form toys we've already seen.

So not only do the animated toys looks very much like their show counterparts (moreso than even Cybertron, and they were mostly damn accurate) they also look very much like real European vehicles.
Crazy, but in a good way.
