Some more news has come out of United Kingdom ToyFair. This time it is information about a new Star Wars Transformers. Action-figure.com has reported that there will be a Star Wars Transformers Darth Vader who transforms into the Death Star. Here is what they reported:
"The item in question is a new Star Wars Transformer. It's Darth vader, and the one I saw stood 10 - 12" tall (at a guess). Whilst I don't collect the Star Wars Transformers line, I instantly recognised that it wasn't the one that transforms into Darth Vader's TIE Fighter.
Instead this one transforms into the Death Star. I didn't see it transformed, so have no idea how good or bad it looks, but I expact we'll see it at the US ToyFair next month."

Urg... Please kill this line. It's the only way to stop me buying another flimsy poorly designed peice of starwars tf crossover tat that I only buy becuase i am weak...
There is a reason my Starwars TFs are well n truley hidden behind my childhood Starwars Action Fleet toys.

....ok, considering how the others have turned out, I'm kinda iffy about this, but it sounds really spiffy. If they do it the way I'm thinking, it'll probably look mostly like a blocky near-accurate vader with a semi-to-full shell-cape.....of course this is purely speculation based on Unicron's & Primus's designs.

Well, on the bright side now we can see pictures of a Deathstar VS. Unicron battle after/if this comes out.

Am I off the deep end for hoping they chose to use Primus's mold with a few alterations. It would look awesome in black. They'd have to think of a way to replace the Key Lock to something "StarWarsy" in nature to aid the transformation.
but I think its a pretty good way of re-using such an awesome mold.

I seriously doubt it. Though it would proove to be the saving grace of the line if that was the case.

O_O The figure should be called DEATH VADER!

I am not to thrilled about the STTF line (needs more detailing and effort) but I am curious to see how that thing looks like.

It really should be Palpatine that turns into the Death Star, not Vader. I've always thought that the SWTF line was a waste of plastic and this is another good example. Please don't make this a 12" shellformer.

Ugggggh! Another Vader?! I know we already used Palpatine on the shuttle, but why not go for another Death Star related character like Grand Moff Tarkin or a Red Imperial Guard or, HELL, how about a Stormtrooper?

I was always thinking about if they were ever going to do that, but Unicron custom turning into the deathstar would of been 1000% better.

I only have two of these, one the first Darth, I got as part of an Ebay lot auction. And the other, Darth Maul, I did pay for, and never opened, only because I like the ship design.
I have entertained the Falcon, but I can't justify the $40. The Death Star will fall into this catagory. However if I ever find them cheap enough...

If it really was....then why are they starting on a second year? Personally, I would think that if the line was failing, they wouldn't have even offered to make any more.
Still, if nothing else, they need to kill the Jedi Starfighter mold real quicklike. I mean, having every noteworthy Jedi turn into a Jedi Starfighter is just plain boring & lazy.

That is actually pretty spiffy. If
that were what they were going to make Vader look like, I would be so all over that.

This line would have been so, so, so much better had they transformed into Transformers characters. They could have kept the pilots, but really. Unicron Death Star, TIE fighter Seekers, etc.
Also, if they're going to make a Death Star Darth Vader, they should go ahead and make Spaceball 1 and have it turn into the Mega Maid.

I liked a few of them like Vader (TIE Fighter), Boba Fett, Maul, and even the Millienum Falcon.
I'd definitely would like a Death Star!
