Does anyone know if there are plans to release the Music Label Soundwave, minus the mp3 player tech?
I love the mold, but I dont want to pay over $100 for just the toy. I really have no use for the MP3 features.

Doubtful, but keep your eyes open.

It's a good question. How many are really going to use this as their MP3 player? It's a very expensive item if it's mainly for shelf display.

Don't plan to use it, but it is quite a collector's piece, Soundwave that actually can play music again.

Hopefully, Hasbro could pick it up and release it to the general market, sans MP3 parts.

I'll use it a couple of times, but i have a proper MP3 player that I'll use most of the time.
(I just cant wait to see the faces of my mates at the pub as I take out my MP3 player and earphones and transform em, lol.)

Its a cool gimmick for sure, but in the end, that mold would look great amongst the classics line.
I really hope Hasbro does pick it up, releasing it under Classics 2.0 as a straight bot, no mp3
I would buy it in a second.

It's not a straight Transformer. I'm getting mine soon, and I can tell you for sure, but it looks like the hands need to be removed to go to alt mode, and the guns have no storage compartment which would be very unlike a new CLASSIC toy.
Also, we've seen the Animated toy version of Soundwave. HASBRO stated at Botcon that they woul be trying very hard not to be repeating characters between CLASSIC 2.0, and the Animated, unless they have repaint possibilities.

Hands are supposed to stay on during transformation, otherwise the figure has some holes at the bottom in Player mode. Weapons have to be stored externally, they are quite big.
I'm using mine as a sound player at home, attached to a set of speakers he has now been running over 17 hours and still hasn't run out of juice. (Have to find some more music, card is half full with about five hours of music).

I just got mine, but have not opened them yet (got one of each and an extra blue for my wife for X-mas).

I'm trying to talk the Mrs. into getting me the set from BBTS for my B day, that has both the white and blue soundwaves, so we can both have one.

Better talk quick, I thought they were selling out!

I check last night, and they still had the the set with both Soundwaves. If they sell out, maybe I can talk her into getting me some exclusives they they have on there.

This toy is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to try out the MP3 aspect of him. Very, very cool concept. Should have a gallery posted by tomorrow or Wednesday of both Soundwaves, Rumble and Frenzy.

Unfortunatly, they said that they would not be putting the same characters out in 2.0 and the Animated Line, and the Animated line has a Soundwave figure, so we won't likely see it.
Althought I would love it and would by one as soon as I laid eyes on it!

I wish Frenzy and Rumble were a bit more interesting, but they are cool additions I suppose.

That would be kinda cool but I am still looking forward to having the 'pimped' out set.
