He's fat. I'd be more understanding if he only cost as much as a deluxe.

I really dislike this figure, in my opinion he's the worst of the Voyager Class Movie figures.

Ignore his opinion and listen to mine
Ratchet is one of the best Voyager Figures in the Movie Line.
I got him and I love him too, very good

Ratchet and '74 Bumble Bee are my favorite figs I have. I only have one complaint and thats the shoddy paint job on some of the fig. Barring that, he's great. I love the color, he's fun to transform, and has accessories out of the ass. How you can say he is any worst than Starscream or Ironhide is beyond me (and I really really like Ironhide).

I had him and he is my least favourite of the voyagers. It really depends on what you like in a toy. I love Ironhide but some people hates his black colour.

How can you say he has accessories out the ass when all he has is that friggin lame ass "stretcher-claw" and his supremely crappy "axe" which looks more like the jaws of life?

I love my Ratchet, my only complaint is that I dint think Hasbro put enough paint apps on him, other than that he is a great bot with a great transformation.

Doesn't look enough like his on-screen counterpart for me to justify 35$ for him.
I don't know, he just doesn't look right...

Hes only 19.99 around here. I was just looking at his on screen counterpart and I can see similarities.. His head is a lot like the one in the movie. His color scheme is right on. If you say that about him, you have to say the same about Ironhide and Blackout (definitely blackout). I can see him being "simple" looking and not terribly complicating to transform would make it hard to buy but I like him for that reason. And plus, when my kid plays with my transformers, out of all the ones I have, that one I am least worried about breaking. So I think its definitely worth it!!

He's only 19.99 because you live in the states. Here in Canada, Voyagers come up to almost 35$ after taxes EVEN THOUGH OUR DOLLAR IS ALMOST 1:1 WITH YOURS!
Yeah, that's fair...
In Canada, 19.99$ will get you one deluxe toy. That's it. Whoopee.
And it is a shame about Ironhide and Blackout not looking too much like the movie models. Ironhide isn't too bad, his legs are too long and skinny and his head is too far back, but other than that he is acceptable. Blackout is just too tiny, his head sculpt is weird and his colours are all wrong (and he has Mickey-Mouse hands...)

I don't think mistakes or inaccuracies on the other toys are as glaring as they are on Ratchet. Hasbro crippled him with weak features and too little design. They showed little creativity and inspiration for his design. Hence the "claw". On the plus side I feel confident that I can't break him the first time I throw him at a wall.

How do you figure he is accurate scale wise?
I feel no love for him.

well imo only his height is kinda acceptable and if my memory serves me right the bulkiness of the cgi render is also close to the figure that's my basis only and i dont plan on getting ratchet though i dont dig the green color...

Sure thre are differences... But think about it. if they made his legs different with more detail, you might as well have made ironhides legs on ratchets body. They are trying to make them different, im sure.

That picture just illustrates that they could have done something more creative with him though. Some flip open panels or maybe an arrangement where the leg halves split open to reveal a much more enticing leg and the halves could be stored behind. There's a lot of lost opportunity in Ratchet.

He is a kickass toy! Alot better than ironhide who still looks great but feels sooooo flimsy and fragile.

Can't get past the green. Looks like Carrie from that horror flick vomited pea soup all over him.

It's not good rubbing stuff on other people. It ends up biting someone up the arse for doing so. And things are not getting any cheaper here in the States. Everything has been going up the ceiling since Bush became president ,and that mess on Iraq hasn't done us any good either.
