I love the animated toys. For me, they do what the movie did not, which is to take transformers and redo them but still stay familiar to the original concept. Needless to say, I find it hilarious that now I am on the other side of the fence, and I already see the forces dividing on who hates these and who loves them. I bet the movie ethusiasts are going to really find this ironic twist amusing as well.

Question: for all those who disliked the movie, myself included, would the new animated figures/series have been possible without the movie? :???:

Honestly, I think they were in the works no matter what. But now that the movie was such a huge success and TFs can't even stay on the shelves, the line will be pushed harder and more produced.

So yeah, they were going to come out anyway, but I believe the TF movie helped the entire franchise immensely. In fact, I would not even be into TFs if it wasn't for the movie. It'll always have a place in my heart.

Plus, I think the Animated line is going to be advertised more towards children, like the FABs and Robot Heroes. Whereas the deluxes, voyagers, and leaders are adverted more to collectors than children (not much tho).
