Kanrabat and Shajaki, keep your reciepts. Next Friday, the Studio Series toys will be on sale so you can go to the store with your receipt and get back the difference as if you would have purchased them on sale (so yeah, Kanrabat, my raincheck ends up not really being necesary).

On sale at TrU you mean? Also, when next week?
Oh well, I'm not getting any refund for Starscream because he came from Walmart, but at least Thundercracker and especially Grimlock will turn out to be cheaper. Best strategy because TC and Grimmy fly off the shelves pretty fast.

Friday I believe. As for Starscream, what you could do is buy it at TRU for cheaper and then go get a refund for the whole thing at Walmart using your receipt, as if you are basically returning the toy you bought from them.

And Reveal the Shield Perceptor arrives Monday.

Jetfire is pretty solid, and makes a big jet mode. He really needs an update with less underkibble though. The combination with leader prime is pretty ace too, it's why I got leader Prime from that line

Looks like the cheap one that goes for around $10. Well, maybe not cheap on the aftermarket.

Yep, that one. They had the $20 one in the Legends class like my Iron Man, but he had no accessories other than a Thanos leg for a Thanos I would never complete, so I got this one. Prefer accessories to ankles, knees, and full hips honestly.
Carnivius_Prime wrote:i hate iron man and Spider-Man's always been a far better character but reduced to being barely more than Iron Man's kid sidekick in those films. stupid mcu.

I've got confusing emails one stating my Grimlock is due Monday and one stating it's today. So I dunno if I can even leave my home today in case i miss it cos no way it's gonna fit through the mail box slot.

Iron Man is my favorite man, and I love him and Spidey together. That is the best MCU pairing in my opinion. It's why I like Spider Man actually.

I've always found Iron Man an incredibly boring, annoying character and it's crappy to the whole Spider-Man story to have Spidey need Iron Man as a frickin' mentor at all (plus it brings back awful taste of the craptacular Civil War comic event) Other versions of Spider-Man did just fine establishing himself as a hero without any of that Iron Man crap. But hey Marvel's been pissing all over Spider-Man for years now in the comics especially so who gives a crap (still disturbing as hell that Doctor Octopus did sexual things while his mind was in Peter's body...ew. ew. ew)

Anyways I got Grimlock today and it's... not lived up to my hopes.

I didn't really know where else to put this. :-?
So I decided to go through my old storage. With my recent purchase of TM 2 Iguanas, I wanted to retrieve my Base original. While at the same time gathering my other BW sets too (Cybershark & Spittor). I found my old toy chest. It contains a bit of everything from a child of the late 80's to 2000's: Mighty Max, Skeleton Warriors, He-Man (NA), TMNT, X-Men, Spider-Man, Toxic Crusaders, Bucky O' Hare and of course G1, BW, BM etc. More than I remembered, to be fair.

Some of the more recent editions being Reveal The Shield Hot Rod and Cyclonus (the latter being a personal favourite) and, bringing me to my question, some choice selections from Fall of Cybertron.

I have FoC Shockwave and Bruticus. I really liked these toys and so I was wondering, now it's a completed set and not yet old enough to become overpriced online, is it a worthwhile line to collect?

That, my friend, only you can answer that question. You like what you like, you collect what you collect. No matter what. The only factors are your available space and budjet. If by "worth while" it's only to make money, better invest in finances rather than toy collecting. But if it's the fun of it, anything goes.

Still, look like the pre-Earth History Cybertron generation is coming next after POTP or the Movie line. So if you like Cybertronian designs, better buy your faves NOW before the new series give a price hike to the old one.

The line was not very well received by me and others for many reasons. I dislike how it seems to be the lowpoint for Transformers toys in terms of thin plastic, the feel of the plastic (that porous feel on voyager soundwave), the simpler transformations and smallest deluxes we ever got.

Comparison between WFC and FOC

But this is just my opinion. I dislike the toys you describe liking and they are all of similar quality. So if you like those toys, then you would like the rest. And since many do not like the line, I dont suspect it to go up in value.

Avoid FOC Jazz for sure. One of the WORST toy ever.
The best deal remain FOC Soundwave and his cassettes. Fun and cheap. Plus, Soundwave is pretty massive for a voyager.

Takara Tomy was releasing the exact same FOC figures at roughly the same time in Japan and they could be imported for just a few more dollars more than Hasbro's. And boy did they look phenomenal! Sure, they didn't fix the issues with the bigger complaints about the size and simplicity, but man did they look great on a shelf compared to Hasbro's own figures.

Even a stinker like Brawn, who I would argue is much worse than Jazz, looks amazing.

And a decent figure like Starscream looked all the better in game-accurate colors.

So I just ran out to check my Ross for TLK Hot Rod...and I couldn't beleave it, but they had one left.(yaaaaaaay).
Here's the thing. So I got home, opened him up, and started transforming and noticed that the arms and legs wouldn't conect right. At first I thought it was just being finicky, but I realized that...
YOU HAVE TO TURN THE HEAD AROUND! IF YOU DO NOT THEN THE ALTMODE WILL NEVER LOCK TOGETHER PEROPERLY.
After realizing this I checked the instructions and no where does it mention this.
I don't know if this is news werthy or not, but I hope it (at least) helps someone.

That Soundwave is fantastic, I actually still use him in my main collection (we haven’t gotten a voyager Soundwave since as far as I’m aware) and the Takara colors are fantastic. It’s going to be a while before this guy leaves my shelf.

Indeed, that Takara FOC Soundwave is sexy as F.

That was in the glorious days of the Takara Premium paint jobs. I do hope that with the unification of the brands, Hasbro will be the one adding paint rather than Takara removing it. I'll be fine with more paint on Hasbro TFs even if Generations figures are priced the same as the Movie ones.

Thanks for all the feedback, certainly food for thought. I have actually heard of FoC Jazz elsewhere, by reputation. I would only really be sticking with The Cons anyway, as I don't think the G1 Autobots I do like (Rodimus and Springer) are part of this line.

Back from my vacation in Holland, and I actually got something to show for it. First things first: they never got PotP, in fact they got stuck at TR Legends & Deluxe Wave 3 and Titan Masters Wave 4 (with Wave 3 being skipped as far as I can tell). No Voyagers or Leaders. So it presented me with an opportunity to catch up:

Titans Return
Crashbash
Terri-Bull
Clobber
Kickback

The rest was pretty much as expected, with TLK and RiD 1 or 2 Waves short or even further than the US. See the Store Bragging thread ;)

The Last Knight
Legion Class Dragonstorm

Finally, once I got home I checked out my local TRU which was still open to my surprise. The TF section was practically picked clean, but I did get something:

Robots in Disguise 2015
Windblade (masked)

On the side, to all Dutchies, check out the Prijsmepper (translated to "Price Hitter" or "Price Slugger") chain of liquidators, they currently have old Kruidvat stock, including RiD2015 stock like Mini-Cons and Battle Packs. Also, The Hague now has a TK Maxx location close to the Spui, with TR Legends on the cheap.

Dude, unless you bought them all, that's NOT a haul. It's a sighting. Post it over HERE and please tell us which store it was found.

Also, that's a nice first post, even though it's in the wrong place. So, WELCOLME! ;)^

Thanks to Will's tip of the upcoming TrU sale, I was able to have some money refunded from my late SS Thundercracker and Grimlock purchases at TrU. That's around 31$CAN refunded! Too bad Starscream was bought at Walmart. This give me an excuse to finally buy SS Optimus Prime. It kinda just cost me 4$CAN, counting the previous refund and the sale. Not bad! I've yet to try it out though.
