Is that MPM Ironhide to the right? How is that figure??

Yep it is.

He's alright. If you are a movie fan, he's a really good pickup for the MP shelf in bot mode. If you are mediocre or less on the movies, he's not gonna help you like the designs or toys.

I think he’s worth getting, definitely if you like the movies. The transformation isn’t that difficult aside from getting the cab to fit together, and the shoulders aren’t too floppy if you assemble them correctly.

D-Max, I took your advice and left the door panels flipped up so they don’t flop around! :D

Dollar to dollar, is he
More worth the money than SS ironhide?

For me personally, I don’t regret buying him. He is the correct height next to Prime instead of being the same height, and his proportions are better than SS ‘Hide (which is sayin’ somethin’ since SS ‘Hide is the best looking Voyager of him)

And man oh man, the head sculpt he’s rockin is so **** rad. I never realized Ironhide had an effed up face in the films. But man, it is on point.

Hrm...still on the fence about MPM Ironhide. Maybe if he shows up somewhere for a steal. I’d still need to pick up OP and ‘Bee at some point.

Finally caught up on Siege. Prime, Megatron and Hound arrived today. ;)^

Checked Target after Walmart after Target after Walmart in my area and didn't find it. This past weekend, I was in the Springfield/Decatur area of Illinois to attend a wrestling show and scoped out the local stores. I noticed a Meijer store and remembered reading that my target had been sighted there...lo and behold, I found at least a couple of them there: Ultra Class Slipstream. Welcome to the team.

I got a shipping notice at 10:45 this morning, and he was here at 4:45 this afternoon. I am impressed with him, the snow camo is awesome and the mold itself is pretty good!

Power was out for over 2 hours last night, I have a fear of the dark with creepy alarms that were going off because of the outage, so I roamed Target for an hour, and finally got this guy after looking at him for 30 of those minutes. I'm kinda glad the power went out now, I really love this figure, even though I was not going to get him.

That perfectly sums up my feelings on this figure too. I have plenty of Primes, and was going to skip him. But back at Christmas when HTS had 20% off I said why not. Sooo glad I did, this one may be my favorite.

I’m right there with you guys. I was absolutely going to skip on Megatron and Optimus, back when we first saw images of them. The more pictures I saw, I started saying, “eeeeh, well...maybe. But probably still no.” But I eventuallyngave in because I heard a lot of positive word of mouth on the these boards. OP did not disappoint. He’s a pretty spectacular figure. Magnus is still my favorite in this line so far, though.

Megatron, on the other hand, is about what I thought he’d be. He’s fine. Bot mode is fine. Alt mode is what it is. The rotating turret is very nice. But I absolutely hate his legs. They feel very, very light and cheap. Which is weird, because until Megatron, every figure in this line has had awesome legs and feet. Ankle tilts galore!

For my finds, I spotted the new wave of SS deluxe sat Target. Only picked up Sideswipe and WWII Bee. I thought about Barricade, but I didn’t think he impress me after getting Human Alliance and MPM Barricade during the end of 2018. I also ordered SS Jetfire from Hasbropulse. Shipped and arrived within 24 hours. The sculpting on the cranky old codger is gorgeous!

I know I'm in the vast minority here, but.......

I don't get it. I really don't understand why so many love this very lackluster toy.

It fulfills my three rules for a perfect transformer:

- A nice looking robot mode with a mix of new detail and alt mode integration with not too much extraneous kibble
- A nice and distinct looking alt mode with minimal obvious robot mode kibble
- A fun and involved transformation from one mode to the next

That toy has this in spades. Both modes look distinct and lean with little extranous kibble yet having their own specific detail unique to each mode. And yet we still have nice alt mode integration.

Plus there are 2 easter eggs, like a matrix chamber in truck mode and a flip out 5 mm hole in the back.

Don't forget just how posable this figure is. It has playability pouring out of it. It's my go to bot while chilling on the couch with the Mrs watching movies. Easily my figure of the year as well!
