I found an armada era Megatron missing his antlers, the mini-con and the door on the left leg. and his "Decepticons, attack!" phrase is glitched a little so when you turn the cannon to the right the phrase plays. other then that, in great condition, only for 3 bucks! I'm going to look for the missing parts next time I go there. did you ever find discount transformers anywhere?

Find discount TFs at Big Lots sometimes. They have a few Energon figs there now, along with some Revenge of the Sith figures.
Old toy lines don't die, they go to Big Lots and Family Dollar for half price!

Do you guys generally have any success when you search the local Goodwills and Salvation Armies and whatnot, or is it not worth the trouble?

You'd be surprised what you can find in rural midwest towns. My hometown of about 3500 has a store called Alco. My mother told me they have a bunch of Astrotrains and Rodimus Primes on the shelf—from the classics line. The K-mart in another town I drove through had classics Jetfire and OP. Even some Energon minicons still on the shelf!

I have found incomplete:
G1 Hoist
Armada Wheeljack
Beast Wars Prowl (Combiner part)
Beast Wars TM Cheetor
Beast Wars Silverbolt
I have also found all the McDonald's Beast Wars toys minus the three and Under and Rhino, All of Beast Machine minus Primal and Tankor, All of Armada minus Demolisher, and Burger King Energon Megatron.

I never have any luck at stores such as Goodwill or Big Lots. Which reminds me, I liked it better when it was called Pic N Save.......oh well. Don't mind my randomness.........

That reminds me I need to check both to see if they have any new BTAS repaints

I need me a silver Robin and Batgirl!

Rarely do I find anything at Goodwill whenever I go, though they usually have some McDonald's Beast Wars/Machines or Armada figures, which I'm not really into(I have the four original Beast Wars guys, who are awsome).
Still, I once found Beast Wars Seaclamp, missing his missle launcher, and the foot pieces off of one foot. It's ok though, I took the heel off the foot that had both pieces, and used it as the front of the other, stands just fine.
I've also seen bits and parts of Tranformers, and I do recall seeing 2/3rds of the Animorphs T-Rex, didn't pick it up though.
I think the most amazing thing I saw was a Unicron, with all the bits that could be pulled off not there. Didn't get it cause I already had a complete one.
Yeah, finding stuff like that is rare, but it's like a yard sale or flea market, there's always a chance.
