My Blue one (along with Rumble n Frenzy) is winging its way to me as I type (and BOY cant i wait seeing the picture of the blue 'un), but first I have but one question. The memory card, does that come with him, or do you have to buy one seperatly? Also does he come with leads to connect him to your pc, or do you need some kinda device for the actual card?

I'm glad I went ahead and got this guy, but I still wish he was a little taller. I wanted him to stand along side my Alts.

Maybe Hasbro will consider pulling the electronics at some point and bringing the figure stateside as a classics figure.

Redimus-- You'll have to get your own memory card and connections. All you get with the figure are the headphones, his weapons, and various posed hands.

OOOOohhhh, I gotta get one now =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~ Looks incredible, both versions. I'll get what ever one I can get my hands on, barring if they're sold out.

Thanx, Seibs. Once again, galleries good enough to convince me to buy a TF.

Where can you get this Soundwave figure?
How much does it cost?

Scratch that. Where's BEST to get him from? I've seen lots of "sold outs" & alot of different prices.

Its all stored on the SD card, which you buy separately. a 2GB card should cost no more than £6, which is roughly $12 I believe. This is a reasonable amount of songs & you access it not via soundwave, but via either a card reader OR another device using the same type of card, which connects to a computer, such as my dad's camera, which i shall be using when & if I buy soundwave.

if only they had put blue details on it to break up all the white.

They do have a blue version. It does look better you are right. Great gallery. Can't wait for my set (white and blue) alongside the Frenzy and Rumble headphones to show up.

If I end up making an attempt at buying this one, it's definately the blue version for me.

Couple of questions;
What kind of memory card does he take, if he takes one at all?

Does he come with the Rumble/Frenzy earphones, or do you have to buy those seperately?

Have you tried to get him to breakdance yet? ;P

FYI ... I believe the max you can use is a 1GB card on Soundwave for some reason. I've read that a few places and it mentions "1GB" in the instructions as well so I'm assuming it's saying the same thing in Japanese. The card I bought for Soundwave is a 1GB.

He uses a 1GB MiniSD card (NOT MicroSD) that you buy separately. Rumble and Frenzy come separately. You can purchase the Music Label products from BigBadToyStore.com:

Lefthand convoy wrote:Just curious. Has anyone else noticed that Soundwave has the face of the Decepticon logo? I keep meaning to bring it up.

It's been thought for quite some time that the Decepticon symbol is based off Soundwave's face and that the Autobot symbol is based off the Prowl/Bluestreak mold. I can definitely see the inspirations, particularly with Soundwave, but the Autobot symbol seems like more of a stretch to me.

ramble wrote:Oh and how are the Rumble/Frenzy headphones? Are they better than standard headphones? I saw some pic of a lady wearing Frenzy, and it looked kinda funny.

To be honest, the headphones seem kind of crappy as far as audio quality goes. I'll stick to my incredibly awesome Sony earbuds. The audio quality out of Soundwave sounded the same out of my laptop.

For those of you complaining about the white version which is meant to look like it's an iPod. The Spark Blue version is meant to look more like a traditional Transformer. The two figures serve two different purposes.

perhaps there is something lost in the photography. The ipod itself looks quite plain in pictures, but its "plainness"" becomes quite attractive in person. Can anybody that has there's verify this line of thinking? Also, i think it was discussed in another thread, but i've since lost track of it...how does the mp3 player function, does it play in order? does it shuffle? etc.

It plays in order. I haven't figured out a shuffle feature yet which is a real shame.

Except the cooler one is sold out. I'd love to get one, but oney is repooling from MP Megs. So for now, I'll just have to drool on my keyboard.

(You know how many keyboards you've costed me Seibertron? :P )

As anybody actually tested whether he works with a 2GB mini SD?

Love my Spark Blue Soundwave, though I already scratched him, trying to get the battery out.

I'll be testing mine with a 2 GB card when I finally get him, which probably won't be for awhile. But if my prior experience is correct, he'll read the card but only 1 GB of it.

For people wondering about the cards, they are widely available at most elecronics stores, especially ones that sell cameras and mp3 players. I believe that you can also use a Micro SD card IF it comes with the adapter to allow it to fit in a Mini SD slot.

I'm really impressed with this little guy, even in white (how unlike Soundwave...) he looks surprisingly good.

I always dreamt they would come out with something like this, nice to see it actually materialize, and so well executed too!

Wow, that's crazy. It reminds me of my Ipod. The white version might be plain, but I think it's to resemble an actual Ipod.
