Awww :-(

So I bought one of those Hasbro reissue Ultra Magnus' from BBTS(go ahead and laugh but I wanted one), it arrived today and it's got two left hands!(the big hands for the super mode)

I have the worst luck with this sort of thing.

I'm wondering about the possibility of sending it back(I'm not in the US), has anyone here ever got a faulty product from a foreign store and tried to return it?

Who pays for shipping?

If I have to pay for shipping back to the states I may as well not bother and just have a double lefty Magnus *cries*

Thoughts anyone?

That sucks! I got one of the energeon areliabots with two left hands-but i kept him thinking "wow what a neat variant!" then i realized (after fecking out the receipt) that because of ball joints anyone could "make" the variant and that it was totaly pointless -sigh

It is worth a shot emailing hasbro, include a pic if possible. I don't know if it will work. Worked when I was a kid in the 80's when Optimus Prime's leg fell off. But I probably wrote them a letter in crayon back then. And things have probably changed a bit since then.

Stupid HASBRO production plant quality control. Far more prevalent now than in the G1 days. Back then the biggest mistake I remember would be getting two sticker sheets or something. I would call BBTS customer support or email them and see what they can do. They may say that it was a production fault at Hasbro's production plant but they might offer a credit for future purchases. That is what they did for me when my vintage G1 boxed Grimlock arrived with a damaged box window.

Probably the fastest way to sort this out and not an overly expensive option is to just keep searching ebay using something like 'magnus fist'. I know it sucks having to buy an extra part for something that you've just bought new but it shouldn't cost too much and at least you wouldn't have to faff around returning the whole figure.

Same thing happened to one of the Magmatrons I ordered from Target a few years back. I just sent it back and got a replacement. In your case, I'm sure you have to do much more to get your problem fixed, but I'm sure everything will turn out right in the end.

contact the seller. Send a pic to show what you are talking about and I'm sure you two can come to some agreement. I hear that Joel at BBTS is great dealing with problems such as this.

contact the BBTS owner. apparently he is a decent guy if this happens. hasbro won't help since the reissue line has long since been discontinued by them

I'm sorry but thats what you get for getting Ultra Magnus. Personally, I see him as a second-rate Prime.

Very off-topic I know. Contact BBTS. You'll probably have to send it back. Take pics for reference. Let us know what happens.

Yeah, I own a G1 Astrotrain with two right arms, i.e. one right arm, and one backward right arm. I don't mind, though, it's just the same as his normal left arm would be, but with the arm facing backwards in robot mode. Besides, he only has one gun, so it's no big deal. lol. But I wonder how these production errors occur? Laziness?

Contact Joel and I'm sure he'll hook you up. One of the reasons I keep shopping there. Fantastic customer service.
