Clickable links to the Flickr page.

Who is this guy? What series is he from? What year range? He looks like the Autobot, Fireflight, but he doesn't have Autobot markings.

"I have no idea who this Decepticon is. I found him at the Salvation Army, already damaged. This guy belongs to my son, Jose Francisco, and unlike his other Transformers (mostly Knock-Offs), he can play with him anytime, even without me; hence, Jose doesn't care as much for him."

Also, I believe this guy is Brawl:

But again I don't know what series or what year he is from.

"I recognize this tank character, but I can't place him. I found him at Goodwill, already damaged (two parts that I can see are broken - left leg armor and one of the doors that conceal his arms). This guy belongs to my son, Jose Francisco, and unlike his other Transformers (mostly Knock-Offs), he can play with him anytime, even without me; hence, Jose doesn't care as much for him."

Well, the plane is SkyShadow from the Cybertorn line. He's a repaint of Jetfire.

And the tank is Megatron, from the Armada line.

Two very good molds IMO.

First one is Jetfire. He's in disguise as a Decepticon, to infiltrate their ranks... or something like that. That's what it says on the box.

EDIT: WOW you guys are quick. Two answers before I even finished typing

Hot damn, my son has Megatron and I didn't even know it? Talk about deceptive...

Now I'm sad about their condition. The pieces that are missing were all like that when I got them. The toys are very well made and haven't taken any additional damage in the hands of my 2.5yo son or three daughters (ages 5, 7 & 10).

Thank you guys. SkyShadow and ... Megatron. I never owned Megatron before - still don't ;) my son does. I'll get the Encore, maybe. $50 is a lot for a father of four, and Encore Optimus Prime calls me first. Soundwave and Shockwave served as the leaders in my storyline as a kid.

Glad to hear you made the choice to grab an Encore Prime for yourself.

Sky Shadow is a pretty cool toy, and Megatron if he has minicons to chase and force into powerlinx slavery is cool too.

LOL, that was funny. :grin: ahhh, talk about the joys of collecting.

your sky shadow's condition looks excellent. he's a repaint of cybertron jetfire, and a good figure at that.

too bad about the condition of your megatron though - he's s'posed to have horns/antlers. looks like yours are broken.

but nice find! hope your son appreciates what your doing for him today, someday. 8) i vote for keeping this thread open so that in case you need more help in identifying more decepticons in the future, we'd be more than happy to help you out. 8) :D

Thank you both. I had two G1 Jetfires and I just can't fathom calling a repainted/restickered SkyShadow "Jetfire". Totally different. I was similarly disappointed to find out that Optimus Prime was going to be a Fire-Engine in the upcoming animated show.

Edit: I'm having difficulty understanding where SkyShadow's wings should be once he's in Robot mode. Diagonal? Vertical? Horizontal?

Transforming! It's kind of fun because my younger kids hand me their figures when they want to transform. I make the sound effect and they try to copy me.

Next Round:
I'm going to post pictures of the Knock-Offs to see if anyone can see who they are KO's of. For example, I recognize Streetwise but I never had Hound so I can't say if the military jeep KO is of him, or just a jeep in general. That'll come later.

I don't have Sky Shadow mind you, but according to Seib's Gallery here, the wings should be parallel to the floor:

Here's the link to the Gallery:

for Identification Purposes, you might also find this site useful:

http://www.tfu.info

you can search by color, and alt mode. so if you have a Green Jeep. you can look it up there, see if it matches any of the green jeeps there.

Before pics, if it is of similar size to KO Streetwise than the KO jeep is probably Swindle.

All right, who are these guys fakes of?

My guess is that they are remakes of 3 different gestalts: the Autobot one, Devastator and another Decepticon one that featured combat vehicles.

Image
and the same, transformed...
Image

They look like they can still combine; their heads come out and become something that can lock into... something else. Unfortunately it looks like I need 6 to make a "whole group" and Big Lots only had 4 of two groups and 2 of another, so that's 3 incomplete gestalt groups, not that we care for the price or the need of filler Transformers in our battles.

We also have this group:
Image
and the same, transformed...

If you look closely on this picture, you'll see the green & blue guy in vehicle mode.

The three on the left are "Ultra-Bots: Space Warriors" that gestalt into one big dude. I've named them all so my kids can have fun with the stories they're making and I don't have to say "get the big red one," and I can help make up said stories.

Edit: You don't see them all here because I haven't "released" them all to my children. Every G1 show we watch, I generally bring out another Knock-Off set.

The others are pictured in their boxes here, here, here and here.

Oh and some wannabe Dinobots.

Alright so:
the tank= Combaticon Brawl
jeep= Combaticon Swindle
helicopter = Protectobot Blades
dump truck = Constructicon Long Haul
bulldozer = Constructicon Bone Crusher
police car = Protectobot Streetwise

The three bot gestalt is not of Tranformer nature, it seems to be a conglomeration, the tank looks similar to Drillhorn from the Japanese G1 Liokaiser gestalt group, but it took 6 members to make the group. The car and plane, however, do not seem to match any of that groups similar members.

My experience is that at Big Lots you can usually buy the limbs of a 'scramble city' combiner--one whose limbs are interchangeable as either arm or either leg--, but they don't usually sell the center robots, unless they are in boxed set.

The Constructicons needed six members to make the combiner, but unless you buy a giftset, I don't think the individuals come with the pieces needed to be able to combine them. They are not of the scramble type, all six have certain locations and add-on pieces that they need to make that piece.

The others you have:

Jets = Aerialbots combine to become Superion...you have all the limbs

black/grey = Skydive
red = Fireflight
white = Slingshot
black = Air Raid

ambulance = Protectobot First Aid
motorcycle = Protectobot Groove

crane = Constructicon Hook
shovel loader = Constructicon Scrapper

It's really cool to see all of the children enjoying the Transformers. A word of caution though, these may not be the safest toys for the young ones, but it looks they are having a blast!

Enjoy!

Just because Prime was a semi in G1 doesn't mean he always has to be a semi.

The ambulance above the Protectobot motorcycle bootleg... wasn't he the arm to a giant jet robot?
(Want to say Dagwon... but not sure...)

Defensor...both the ambulance and motorcycle were a part of Defensor, as well as the police car, and helicopter that he has.

Would you believe I stumbled upon images of the original merely by wandering around aimlessly? The Car, Drill and Jet are KO's of God Max from Takara's Yuusha line, better known as the "Brave" series. The series is a close cousin to TF's in Japan, since it sometimes shares molds. Here's the page with the images. If you wanna see more of the Brave series:

Tigertracks and JeIZe, thank you so much! And yes, the kids can only play when an adult is present, exception my 10yo, but she doesn't play alone.

Man, as I was reading I really didn't think I'd figure out where the 3 (now I know to be "God Max") figures came from. I knew they were KO's because they were too intricate to be original designs from craptastic manufacturers.

Those God Max figures look great, although my 2yo son always asked me to uncombine them if he wakes up and finds them combined.

As for Fire Truck Prime, I'll take my 10yo daughter's Classics Voyager Prime and blow holes through your Fire Truck Prime and his water cannon any old day. That dude's got a top that turns into one nasty looking cannon; he could pick you off at 2,000 yards with that thing. ;)

Edit: This thing hates the words Fire Truck put together.

Wow dude, You really know your stuff ;)^ !!! Knock off are cool cause with a little retooling they can become custom autobots and Decepticons..with Reprolabels help ofcourse..

I don't understand what the problem is with OP as a firefighter...

a) It suits his character. He'd love to be first in helping to put out the inevitable fires caused by fighting the Decepticons.

b) Kids love fire trucks - ensures brand continuity

c) A fire truck is a modified semi chassis anyhow

D) RiD Prime looks really good in his alt

Then again, i never got the people back in the day who said "TRUKK NOT MUNKY" either.....

Answer: Because I was never shown a story that gave a reason behind the transition. If there is one, either in a TV series or comic book, I haven't seen it. If you fill me in it might make sense...

Otherwise it looks like Hasbro being idiots just like they were with killing off a whole line of toys, rather than making a story where everyone changes, or we shift to another group of Transformers.

I'll admit, I just don't know the answer, so for now it seems contrived.

Edit: Fire Truck :P
I agree that, of all forms, a Fire truck makes a bit of sense; however, it's hard to associate a Fire truck with a deadly robot on the battlefield. I tend to associate that more with Ratchet's form. The resulting Transformer might be tough, but deadly?

Mack Trucks and the ilk... yeah, those things might be useful, but they also have mass and inertia. I just hope the new animated series explains his form; and actually I hope the nice folks here explain it all to me :)

by VecPrime
Well, i should also mention that a fire truck alt also goes with his Energon axe.

As for how? I dont know, why dont we ask ...dangit, i cant call them by their Unicron saga names... Hot Rod, Ratchet, and Ironhide?

Seriously... this is Prime. He could attach a new trailer at any time. No need to re-scan. A fire truck body may not exactly be a trailer, but hey, im sure that a 30-ft dude that's mainly animated by nanites could manage changing like that.

after all, these are the Transformers, ne?

PostPosted: Thu Aug 16, 2007 2:09 pm

Hmmm. That makes a lot of sense to me, actually, because in me and my kids' fiction, they really do have nanobots crawling all over them all of the time; however, to explain the fact that the toys can't change, we make a big deal out of each new body or Transformer - for whatever reason, Processing Cores (brains) are hard to make; best places suited for that work is on the various homeworlds. Cybertron, while the Mecca for Transformers, is held by Decepticons.
