Hey i really like the Starscream lot of transformers but when i brought the new movie version i was really disappointed about it. The best thing about it is actually the name of it even though i think that they disgraced him in it.
The worst are his chicken legs and definitely6 his arms they should have made just regular arms that would go into his side similar to how his legs connect to the rest of his body when hes in jet mode. And the guns should be able to be put on him similar to the energon starscream how the just go onto the wings.
And where the hell is the sword lately Starscreams all ways had a Sword.

The guns would be able to fit in his hands as well.
Highly disappointed about this starscream figure i hope they don't make a mistake like this on any transformer again.
See ya laterz

Actually Starscream didn't always have a sword. The original relied soley on laser cannons and rocket launchers and occasionally a transformed gun mode of Megatron.

Just gonna say: I love the chicken legs

Yeah, what sword. SS has no sword..... Thats just some '90s crap that should be left in the past.

G1 SS FTW!!

A/E/C SS had a sword, and all three versions were pretty fun toys too.
Lest I remind you how much of a disproportioned brick G1 SS was in robot mode...
Great jet mode.
Reasonable transformation.
Great cartoon charecter design (look and personality).
Poor toy robot mode.

A brick, he may be. However, that is also judging his toy by today's stndards. Back then, he was the height of toy tech.
Either way, I never did like SS having a sword. Maybe a little energon dgger to back stab with.

Here's a hint!
The back of the package shows preview pictures of the robot.
You'll know long ahead of time if you're going to hate how it looks.

I hated him at first, but BOY did he grow on me. Especially after I figured out all of the tabs to lock him into place in jet mode. Indeed a very solid figure.
I don't see anyone hating him for very long ... Starscream rocks!

I love my movie starscream figure. He's one of my favorites. I do wish you could take off the gun hands and have some regular hands. But still, excellent toy. I like the chicken legs too.
G1 and later versons

I was wondering if there would be younger people going to go to the theater to see Transformers expecting a live action TF: Energon. Indeed some people apparently did.
Despite controversial designs, these toys have been some of Hasbro's most elegantly designed. They're art. I look at these toys from the sculptor's and designer's standpoint. To think that each of those pieces were at one time carved or machined from jewelers wax . . . its crazy.
Bonecrusher turns inside out for his transformation--thats incredible. The Automorph torso on Starscream was gorgeous, and Ironhide's feet were sexy. The fact that they can pull those crazy new movie designs out of boxy vehicles is crazy.
I happen to like those movie designs and anxiously await the new movie and the new little interactive works of art they're going to release.

Honestly I wasn't crazy about him when I saw the photos but since I buy every Starscream I had to get him. Except for the lack of hands and the Fire at will missles, he's pretty neat.
However G1 Starscream will always be my fave. Maybe he isn't the best robot mode, but he's the one that started it all.

I for one dig the new design. I was getting tired of the same old G1 look all the time.

I had expected to hate Movie Starscream because he is unlike anything I would associate with Starscream. I bought him anyway and I have had a complete reversal of opinion.
Yes, he has chicken legs but I like them. He looks ugly, alien and scary which is the whole point. I like his transformation, not what I was expecting at all. It is a shame about his arms when in jet mode but I do not see how on earth the designers could have done anything else given the movie design.
Actually, there isn't a Movie figure that I have that I do not like. They are just so different from anything that has gone before. Optimus Prime is probably the most conventional of the lot ( that I own ).
I like Starscream so much that he currently has pride of place standing atop my PS3, brandishing his missile hands.

Me, too I think Starscream's new look rocks. Much more menacing
then the G1 look.

It seems people tend to like him more once they get him, but I can't seem to get past those darn missile hands. Also, considering that he's a jet, shouldn't he be bigger overall compared to the others?

That would bump him up into leader class. I cant see many parents springing for leader megs, prime, brawl and starscream.

No, I still dislike it in general, but I do have fun with it. He amuses me and with the other movie related stuff and other Starscreams from the movie, they all look pretty good together. Just different. I just got some evil plans in my mind.....

Yea thanks for posting replies on my forum.
But ya gotta hand it to the designers they really should have made the guns as actual guns and not his hands.
I know that Starscream never had a sword in some previous series but i think that ever since the Armada series that he looks plain out cool with the sword.
I also know that ya can see what he looks like on the back but Starscream is my favorite transformer out of all of them so i try to get him every time there is a new one and im currently in pursuit of the Starscream Classic model.
I'm just saying that they could have done a better job.
Catch ya laterz

your dumb, voyager starscream is just like the starscream in the movie. have you even seen the movie? you cant compare the MOVIE toy to energon series starscream, you can only compare it to the movie starscream
