I gotta Say this is not to include the Masterpiece Line up, just those that were with Cartoon or the Live action Movie series, and I'll allow G2 as a comp..

Why 4 instead of 3 you say, because there is always a tie, so why not just pick the one most likely to be above the other..

I gotta go with Cybertron Prime as the Lead on this one...

1. Cybertron prime
Armed to the teeth, a Super space Fire truck, though an unbelievable space ship mode.. he's got it going on Hands down!! Removable face shield, and even comes with a Matrix!! His colors are nice and he is an excellent homage to the G-1 version..it's kinda cool to see his progression from a Basic G-1 type Semi truck to a Combiner, and then an ultimate space Fire Truck!! Plus the toy has freaking Pipe Knuckles.. what a bruiser he is!!!




He even beat out my favorite, Robots In Disguise Optimus Prime!! And that was a figure hard to top!!!

2. RID optimus Prime:

Still RID Optimus prime is my second favorite all time..
His regular Bot form is articulate, and his armor is extremely awesome!! plus his final combined mode with Ultra Magnus Makes him a definite 2nd Choice..





3. Optimus Primal 10th Reissue:

No matter how you slice it, this guy is just the baddest Optimus I have ever seen. I'm still in awe sometimes that I have him in my collection..Granted I was never a Beast Wars fan from the start, and that also dictates why the Truck and cars bots are first above this guy for me, but this series just grew on me over time!! He's a great warrior, and if you love King Kong and Godzilla, then Beast wars takes that concept to a whole other level!!

4. Leader Class Movie Optimus Prime:

I was about to start to place Armada prime here, and thats a long ways from where I used to stand on that guy, but I have to give it up for the Leader Class Movie Optimus Prime. He's one of the best toy molds to be released from Hasbro!! Ever!! Plus you gotta give it up for the New design..out of all the toys released so far, his is the closest truck I have ever come across, except g-1.. Still this guy is only no. 4 on my list.. but he's in the top 4, so he's a bad ass all the same, and since he's voiced by Peter Cullen in the Movie.. even more reason to love him..

I need to get the Protoform too.. they just go together...



Yes though, I never knew how hard this was going to be to do this without the Masterpiece labeled as no. 1, But that toy is certainly in another class...

but anyways, that was my top 4 Optimus Primes ever!! what's your preference??

I think that Galaxy prime, though loaded to the teeth, would get his butt handed to him by Omega Prime.. the RID Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus Combiner:

Okay, I'll play.

1. Optimus Prime Movie Leader Class

This big fella may be bulky, but is surprisingly very articulate and posable. Stands well, and is very detailed. Not too busy looking either which is what I like.

2. Optimus Prime Movie Voyager Class

This fella is actually a tie with LC Prime for me. But for the sake of this thread, I placed him in #2. He is a lot more slender than bulky LC Prime. He may have a backpack, but it really isn't as bad as the pictures make it look. I rather like it actually. Very good articulation, great detailing. Looks more "Primey" than LC Prime in some ways.

3. Optimus Prime Classics Voyager Class

Now, I REALLY love this figure. He is so nice, I bought him TWICE. I bought Voyager Movie OP 3 times though, but that was just my insanity kicking in. He really looks great. Not busy with gimmicks, just an honest to goodness Optimus Prime. His transformation is rather clever, and he looks more like an Optimus Prime than the G1 Optimus Prime in Robot mode. The toy I mean. There are some differences, naturally, but over all, he looks simply fantastic. The gun to smoke stacks idea is brilliant. Glad they did the same with Movie Voyager OP. Also very posable, and fun.

4. Optimus Prime WWI Titanium

Okay, sure he has spaghetti legs, but if you don't mess with him, and let him stand, he'll stay put. He looks great, and is kind of neat to have a Cybertronian version of Prime from the comics. Not a bad looking figure at all in both modes. Very very nice display piece.

1. RiD Prime

To me, he just looks awesome. I know not many like Red FireTruck Prime,e but hey, he's one of the most articulated and the best

2. Leader Class Movie Prime

Simply because he's massively big. And very highly detailed

3. Optimal Optimus

Watching the Beast Wars Cartoons really makes this figure alot more special. It has so many different modes, and it's just awesome!

4. Armada Jet Optimus w/ Overload

Although they're actually three figures, Armada Prime sucks by himself, but with Jetfire and Overload upgrades, he looks absolutely fantastic.

I agree some of the Combiner modes are really awesome too!!

Yeah I forgot about classics prime.. this one Gif actually made me order him today..He really does look alot like G-1 Prime!!

Of the Primes/Primals I have:

1) G2 Laser Optimus Prime.

He's a nice size with good articulation, a lot of weapons, and a sweet trailer that unfolds into a really cool battle station.

2) Transmetal Optimus Primal

Good beast mode, awesome robot mode, and he turns into a gorilla on a flying surfboard. What's not to love?

3) Supercon(deluxe) Armada Optimus Prime

He has great articulation, superior sculpting. Sure he has a stupid action feature, but his strengths are overwhelming.

4) G1 Optimus Prime re-release.

The Original Legend, only with a nice voice box to go with him. He is Optimus Prime.

1) Powermaster Optimus Prime - I had him as a kid.
2) Classics Optimus Prime - looks so cool, and a great homage.
3) Cybertron Optimus Prime - impressive super mode.
4) RiD Optimus Prime - he's cool and forms part of Omega Prime. What more need I say?

When you take MP prime out of the equation, it gets pretty interesting as to who are people's Number one Prime... This is a cool read so far.. each suggestion someone places for their favorites If I don't know who they are, I go to the Gallery and check it out.. it's a fun hobby for me.. Very interesting read indeed..

Still, I'm curious, and want to see who'll keep hitting the Number one spot..

So I can't say Masterpiece Prime? hmm that makes it hard. I haven't owned all the primes, When it comes to my favorite primes its definitly Masterpice and Movie leader class prime. RID Is up there, and I wish I would of bought Cybertron prime. Honestly Cybertron seemed like an awesome toyline, really wish I would of bought some of those toys but I was so disgusted in the cartoon that I avoided it completely!

ebay actually has some great deals on Cybertron Prime.. i am kinda working in reverse.. I haven't watched the cartoon, But like a few minutes here and there.. on youtube.. i kinda skipped to the ending...but I love the toy and how it matches the cartoon blocky bot bit for blocky bot bit.. so for me I decided to get it..and I got him at a good price too!!! MISB 35.oo plus 9.00 shipped!! A great Bargain.. though he hasn't come to my house yet.. i have been studying the images of him from around the net.. and i love him..

the only reason he's above RID Prime is his close coloring and patterning to that of G-1 prime.. other wise I would have had to go with RID Prime as my Number one.. But yeah Like you said it's hard to do this without MP Prime!!

2. Optimal Optimus
Huge, Orange, with some beautiful metallic reds and blues, and 2 alternate modes, this is one figure you cant put down once you start playing.
3. Optimus Primal
Doesn't matter if you own the original or the Universe repaint, both are excellent figures, full of gimmicks and hidden weapons. And its an Ape.
4. RID Prime
The original Fire Engine Prime, with a very detailed alt mode, and very poseable robot mode, easily the best 2 figure combiner with RID Magnus.

Trunks, I love the Analogies that you use when describing your Transformers toys, it always makes me smile, and yet hungry too...

I was gonna say optimal Optimus as one of my top 4, but I don't own him yet.. I do agree he is a Sweet Character and toy!!

for me its:

Leader movie prime:
he just hides perfectly almost all the robot parts, its robot mode its just too cool for not being in first place, i dont own him yet but i will!

Cybertron prime:
he looks veeery cool, not much of an earth vehicle but cool

Rid prime:
yeah he hides the robot parts very good too, i like his robot mode but his super mode is kinda rigid, cant movet much without it falling...

G1 masterpiece prime:
i dont have this toy but it looks preeety cool, seems very articulated, and fully posable, its just too expensive for me...

Optimal optimus:
he looks preeety cool, i like that u can make it "jet" or "car" or even beast mode, but in all modes u can notice many robot parts...i dont own him, never found it...

Energon prime:
yeah, its just a veery simple transformation but i still like its super mode...

Beast machines primal:
he looks very cool but the only thing i dont like is that u can see his butt...right on his back!!!! i dont own him cuz of that and maybe other things...

Armada prime:
yeah hes pretty rigid but in robot mode i think he looks cool, its supermode is good to but the lack of legs makes me like it less, it was necesary that he didnt had legs...oh well

Transmetal optimus primal:
i like that he can "surf" in the air, i like his robot mode even though its very simple, i dont like its beast mode...just to bulky...thats why i dont own him...

Beast wars primal:
this guy is the last cuz hes very simple to transform, even though his robot parts might be well hidden in beast mode i still dont like it much, its robot mode seems cool though...i still woudlnt buy it, i never did when beast wars series where out and i wont do it now...

We took out the Masterpiece Prime because in these census threads before it was too easy to list him as a Number one.. so this way it really makes you have to wonder who would be the number one choice had Masterpiece never existed..it's hard to do..But you have a good one there with Movie Optimus Prime!! Nice explanation of why you chose them too..
