You are already paying more than MSRP, when do you give up to buy online?

So I know many here, like myself, hate paying more than MSRP. But there is something I bet lots of people never think about going on their little toy searches day in and out.

Say you saw a Bumblebee '08 Camaro online for $15. $15?! Screw that I could get it for $9.99 at the store. Say you've been searching for 2 weeks, roughly 5 days a week. maybe you drive about 7-10 miles out. That's about what... $1.50 for the sake of argument roundtrip. And every one of those days you never found it. so 2 weeks go by... you've spent $15 in gas and wear and tear on your car.

Are you still stubborn to look in stores to avoid paying $15+ shipping for it?

I'd have to say I would keep looking myself because I might come across another toy I like, but I didn't really put that in perspective of how much extra money we are really wasting without thinking about it.

Seeing as how these things are getting tougher to find I may turn toward entertainmentearth or some other online toy company and get stuff by the case, split it between my friend and then sell the rest at cost to others looking in the future of my Transformers toys. It's getting very frustrating out there.
