Take a few deep breaths and just pop it back in. The hood does that. It is not broken (unless you really broke something, then you are screwed).

Yep, should pop right back in there with little effort. Just lift the doghouse up, move the head out of the way and slide it back in there, (Boy that whole idea could be taken the wrong way). If one of the hinges is broken then it shouldn't be more than a quick fix with some plastic cement.
Now if the peg broke... hmm.

Really, I'm surprised it wasn't one of the arms that popped out on you, or the door for that matter.

It happened to me on my Alt Shock Wave. If IIRC it was a pain in the ass to pop back in but you can do it.

dont worry, for my Alt Shockwave popping the hood off seems part of the tranformation process, i can never get the head to come thru without the hood popping off

My shockwave did that all the time. It is annoying and tricky if your not careful, but can be done.

The trick is to fold teh windscreen part down BEFORE attempting to reinsert the bonnet. Same when transforming it. Move the windshiled/roof down before you attempt to fold the bonnet down over the chest. It may get a little clustered with everything folding down at once, but trust me, it works. That goes for you too Chugster. The windshield overlaps the edge of the bonnet, that's why it keeps popping off.
