I didn't buy them. Here's my opinion of them (and why I didn't buy them)

First of all - some context - the Cybertron line is, in my view, perhaps the best Transformers line to date for variety (beasts, realistic earth vehicles, sci-fi vehicles, minicons - this line had everything that was great about TFs)

Shame really that Cybertron Megatron came out such a bad bad bad toy.... I mean - we were told to expect shades of RID; and I suppose we got them what with the return of the batmobilie and batplane.... but...err...really....

Where to begin?

First of all - I understand and like the intention of having Megatron with Unicronian armor; considering that he made it out of there alive and absorbed the power of Unicron (or something to that extent) - ok - fine.

This also explains the otherwise garish colors and some of the aesthetics...

But what I don't like are the alt modes - they are really kind of lacking and it seems the car sacrifices too much as does the plane in order for him to triple-change...

I also don't really like the idea of Megatron being - essentially - from planet...Speedia..?

I mean - that is after all what the function of his alt mode would suggest...

Also that spinning wheel-gun weapon of his...just so not Megatron....

Now - this is all coming from a guy who didn't like the Megatrons in ANY of the trilogy and only has Armada Galvatron for the sake of having a white H-Tank with a knife who I have named Scalpel...

Anyways - I would buy Cybertron Megs if I could find him for 10 usd

That's not going to happen. I won't pay more because there are other evil villains far more worthy of purchase - look at the Beast Wars era leaders - Megatron, Galvatron and Magmatron: those are really cool figures - even the somewhat silly Galvatron still manages to be more menacing than the Trilogy guys; particularly Cybertron Megs....

Now - the paint scheme on Cybertron Galvy is less flaboyant (how do you spell that?) ... but still - the figure itself just doesn't really do it for me.

If anything - I'd buy him and make him a racing boss on planet Speedia... or something...

Either that or I'd organize a competition where he and Movie Leader Megatron would be the jury and award Ugliest TF ever prizes....

Just not the best TF to buy for its' usual 40 plus USD retail price... ridiculously expensive for such a lame toy.

I also passed on him. I never liked the Batmobile mode. I was inclined to buy the Galvatron Repaint, but I Got the LOC Class instead. Same Basic Transformation, but a whole lot cheaper.

In any case, i still don't like him. He might be a good solid figure. But I just don't like him.

If you see a Cybertron Galvatron, get him.

The Megatron/Galvatron mold is top notch in terms of design and detail, it is only Megatron's paint scheme that lets him down, and makes Galvatron superior.

Jet mode is a little tacky, but the Batmobile alt mode is spiffy, and Megatrons robot mode looks very good on display, especially with his minions around him.

Megatron looks daft with Nemesis Breaker attached, whereas Galvatron looks somewhat decent.

In short, the mold is good, get Galvatron if you can, but maybe skip Megatron, as his paint scheme is damn horrific.

I say buy both, repaint the Megatron in Black, and place Batman stickers on the door side!! HE he just klidding, though I wouldn't mind a Black release from one of those toys sites like Justit toys or something like that...But I would pick up Galvatron, whom i myself have ye tot buy.. what's funny is that buying Megatron for the name, even with the crummy color scheme just doesn't do it for me..

it's got to be the better of the Bot, and heck if he has a better color, but is the same bot.. then yeah Galvatron is the bot for me.. after all, he's stronger then his former self, and looks better.. so for me, get the powered up version..Galvatron.. cause they are both the same anyways..

I have them both, and I love them both. One of the reasons I love them so much is because Cybertron dared to be different by making Megatron into something that wasn't a gun/spaceship/tank. Granted, he does have a pretty weak "flight mode", but the dragster is awesome. The color schemes are great as well; I can't tell you which I prefer more.
