masterpiece Starscream too small?

I have Optimus and Megetron staring each other down on my shelf, and recenty got a good deal on the odd colored Masterpiece Screamer.

I immediately transformed him and was shocked to find him tiny compared to Megs and OP. He looks better with the Altenators, but he is way off the other Mps.

I know they could not have made him a true 1:24 scale jet (he would be bigger than OP AND his Trailer!) but I feel a few sizes larger say instead of 9 inches tall to Ops 14 inches make him 12 inches tall. In the cartoon he was never shown as MUCH smaller than Megs or Prime.

I know scale has never exactly been a big deal as far as transformers go, but to me a Masterpiece Screamer's robot mode at least should be in scale with the other MPs.

I like the toy, it is an amazing transformer, but ill have to put him fighting my Altenators, not backstabbing Megetron.

Can you imagine the size of the jet if he was to scale? It would be too big.

He'd be worth every red cent, though...

I know he would be bigger than MP Prime and his trailor combined. What I am saying is make his bot mode more in scale, liek they did for Megs. Megs gun mode is actually oversized to allow his bot mode to compare to Prime's

Screamer should have been a few scales larger to allow his bot mode to be around 12 inches tall instead of around 9 inches.

It is not his height that is so bad, since you can put him hovering a few inches off his base, so much as his overall scale. His head is tiny, 4 of them would fit in Primes or Megs head, he can barely hold the megetron gun from prime, and only that because the base slides down to make the handle thinner.

No he could not have been a 1:24 scale jet, his bot mode would be huge, but his bot mode should have been in scale with the bots of Prime and megs, making the jet whatever scale that would be.

His bot mode is heavily dependent on the size of his jet mode. The designer was going for a realistic jet. If his head was bigger it would still have to be hidden in or around the nose area of the jet and you couldnt do that without making the jet bigger. You cannot make something out of nothing. If his head was bigger then the rest of his body would have to stay in proportion and where would you get the extra bulk from?

I agree he is smaller scale-wise, but he is one of the bigger TF figures out there. However, I don't thing the designer was designing this toy with scale in mind. Rather he was constructing a different figure for the MP line. What i mean is SS, Megs, and OP were never meant to be in exact scale with each other, rather each fig is its own. For example, all those Diamond Select busts and statues out there. Those aren't actually built to scale with each other, rather each is its own figure. I believe the same goes for the MP line, where each figure is treated like a masterpiece. Only to show detail of the character itself and not scaled to be with the other figs. Just my $0.02.
