Walmart in the Renton area, WA had a bunch of Yoyagers out. I managed to pick up this:

I don't know if Optimus was there or not since I arrived around 8am and the store normally opens at 7am. The real gear small bots I found yesterday were gone. There's one Voyager Megatron left as of 8:40am.

Additionally last night 2 Fred Meyer stores had replenished some of their deluxe stock. Nothing new new, but at least they're starting to come back. Also saw 2 leader primes at Fred Meyer as well.

Just thought I'd give the word that stores are finally getting these in again as well as some new stuff trickling in. :)

Well I'm at work now and I didn't get much time to really stare at it a long time. It's very cool from the initial looks of it, but i think I have the same gripes as many:

1) What's with the ice?!

2) What's with the shoddy paint job on both Megatron?

I might try to do a custom metallic paint job on it. I just want to make sure it holds up if I transform it.

I haven't opened it yet, but it looks nice. I just wish it didn't have the icey look to it. It would be nice if the wings were normal and the ice was off the chest area. It's not horrible, but yeah... pretty much the same gripes as most people have with that figure. It looks like it's also not as bulky looking as the leader one. I dunno though... those custom paint ones make Megatron look very badass.

But they are both certainly better than the Robo Replicas Megatron. YUCK!!!! BUT... the robo replicas one doesn't have ice all over him. Oh well, haha!

Nice find Versa. I live in Renton WA too and I haven't found diddly squat! Of course now when I have no money you're able to find something new. Figures. :P

On a side note, I'm trying to meet some other TF fans and collectors locally. I'm trying to get in touch with Skyblast because he lives in Renton himself. Interested in joining the crew? I could stand to meet some other fans in my local area. I feel all by myself sometimes! Just PM me if you're interested.

That must be the exact place! Wow! I didn't know! So they've been putting them out now I guess... just no Deluxes yet. TONS of their exclusive Real gear 2-packs but that's about it.

I hope they put more out soon.

Actually, the one I hit was at the South Hill Mall in Puyallup.

I spotted Voyager Megatron a couple of hours ago at the Wal-Mart in Elgin, IL. First new TF I've seen there in a few months. Everything else around me has nothing.

You're lucky. The shops here haven't had anything new for a while.

Curiously though, I found Voyager Megs about 4 weeks ago. Picked him up on the spot, even though I had been planning on getting Starscream. Aside from the ice and an issue with his feet, he's not bad. Hands seriously lack any articulation though and the fusion cannon can be a pain in the butt to get a decent pose with, but overall not a bad figure. A lot less chunky looking than Leader class IMO.

Was there any more older Voyagers like blackout or was it just megatron?

I just came from a Walmart in Omaha Nebraska, and they've got some of the BB/Barricade two-packs on the shelves. So there's some leftover stock, but not much is coming down the pike it seems.

I just bought the Voyager Megs too. I bought the leader and sold it within the week I opened it. I hope that I didn't waste 20 bucks on this figure like I wasted 40 on Leader megs.

Okay so I opened the toy up and transformed him. Here's my thoughts:

I don't think Megatron has a good of a Presence as the Leader one would (if I had it). His size is the same height as Starscream about and Rachet stands taller than Megs. :(

I really don't like the ice fragments on him. I wish it was made as a post-freeze state where he was actually mobile. If I recall the ice was all melted off when he escaped Sector 7. Definitely the ice was not a good thing for Hasbro to include.

Also the ice seems to be made from softer plastic unlike the rest of the toy.

The face paint job is really shoddy. It's a black-ish look and his glowy eyes are blue. Desperate need of a repaint.

The feet don't stay flat. If you set him on a tabletop he'll stand on his feet fine, but when you pick him up the feet spring and retract back as if going back into vehicle mode and I thought that was not a great feature.

Stands well.

Arms are a bit flimsy. the hands are a big f&**ed up in that there are like 3 fingers per hand and they are amber colored. Again, the whole paint scheme thing is just goofy.

I would say that with a paint custom the Leader one would be best. The presence of this figure doesn't stand out as much as the other Yoyager series. And it definitely looks awful next to the great Leader Prime (which I will be doing a custom paint on). Leader Prime needs Leader Megs for sure. haha!

I know the sizes of the toys have never truly been to scale with each other, but you'd think they'd take some consideration of size in the Voyagers to make megs at least as tall as Rachet. I just thought that was a bit odd.

Voyager doesn't place high ranks on my movie TFs list, but it's a good addition to my collection as a movie toy completionist.
