Got him for $25 New Zealand. (Which is something like $17 US, I think.) Plastic version, slight sticker wear, but otherwise in good condition. Is he any good?

I would say that that is a good deal. You just need the other 4 to make Predaking. The plastic version is better when making the big boy. He tends to fall over with the metal version. I have an original plastic G1 set and the reissue metal set. The reissue set falls over at the slightest knock.

Of all of the G1 Predacons, Divebomb is my favorite. He has a good alt mode, the best robot mode of the 5 in my opinion. Plus he doesn't have the problems that the other figs have:

Tantrum's blocky body and lousy arms and uni-leg
Razorclaw's stubby arms and back sticker problem
Headstrong's uni-leg
Tantrum's ok, he's my second favorite of the bunch.

Just so you know this is my opinion from when I got these figures in 1987. I still like them all it is just these design issues bug me and if they were done differerntly, the Predacons would have been a great set of figures.

Rampage the tiger is also one of the better predacons. He's got nice articulation also. His transformation is like Razorclaw's but his arms are better while Razorclaw's are too short. Rampage is my favorite. Followed by Divebomb, Razorclaw, Tantrum {Tantrum would of been third if his legs had articulation}, and HeadStrong. Predaking is the biggest combiner in G1. An impressive one too. He has the most articulation out of all the combiners as well. I have the set which takara reissued by the end of 2004.

Yeah, I've got Headstrong and Rampage as well, which I got fairly cheaply. They're not too bad, although i ain't a big fan of Headstrong's single leg with a gap.
