I looked at a few walmarts in Southern California and I dont' see jack... not even robot replicas.
The Targets in Southern California seemed to have received robot replicas, titaniums, but no movie deluxes.
Costco has YET TO receive the Movie Leader Optimus.
Southern California is lagging?

yes it is lagging if you mean we're not getting in deluxes. however i have seen new shipments of voyagers, leader primes, robo reps, 6" titaniums, some people in the san diego area reported the new real gears, and at a different forum someone in S.D. also reported one new shipment of deluxes at wal mart. we're getting in pretty cool stuff, just not deluxes.

Same story here, except last week there was a small spur of movie scouts in a couple of Targets, and now Walmart is pretty healthy with Real/TECH Gears, singles & 2pks. No toys at Sam's or Costco. Only few movie deluxes (wreckage/brawl/scorponok) and voyagers in few stores, but they got cleaned out fast too due to lack of new deluxes/leaders, etc.
This weekend I will be on business trip to Vegas for a week, anyone know good spots to hit for new movie toys?
Cheers guys!

Up in North Cal, I've been running into tons of second wave figures at TRU. Even ran into a few 08 BBs. WM and Target still are pretty empty in comparison.
Of course, what I'm looking for is done for as far as retail. Ugh.

Sorry guys
There is nothing special here other than walmarts, targets , Tru. Its pretty empty for deluxes and voyagers just like the rest of the country.

was it at a retail store like target/ wal mart, or something like a specialty store like a comic book shop?

I am also an unfortunate so. Cal. resident.
I live near (well, not exactly near...more like the distances I'm willing to drive) like 5 Targets, 4 Wal-Marts, and 2 Toys R Us. All the stores have been dry for a while and the Targets have just started on the Robot Replicas. Which they have little stock of.

Yeah, at Comic-Con.
I'm not finding much; I spotted a couple of the new Real Gears a couple weeks back, but I've yet to seem them again. Figures, considering I just decided to collect them.
I am finding a lot of Voyager Megs and non-Movie toys though.

I saw it twice at a Target. Just one each time. Picked them both up, and asked the cashier to check for more and they told me I got the last one each time....
Got one last Friday, and one today...Tuesday...
Kinda weird...

for those in southern cali, i kept calling this one store at Universal City Walk, called Sparky's, and for like 2 weeks they kept saying they didnt have any, but soon, keep calling, and i got tired so i stopped calling for a few days, today i called and their response was "we have a lot of transformer toys, but recently sold out of 08 BB's"

just when i gave up they got some, it would have cost i think 5 dollars more, 16.95 or something like that, but i would have been willing to pay in order to stop wasting gas and time looking around, now too late, but like i said they told me they have a lot of transformer toys, so anyone in southern cali if u guys want to try this store, havent been there personally, but its worth a try i guess, the number to the store is (818) 622-2925

As I said in the Sightings thread, Orange County in particular is screwed when it comes to finding anything. It all comes down to Comic-Con - the vendors shop for things here, then sell them for double over there. And combine that with sh*tty restocks, you have yourself no good TFs until September even!
I've been looking for Jazz... can't find him anywhere, and I don't want to be forced to buy Final Battle.

try kohls for jazz. might have to pay a bit more, but try to see if they price match, so bring a wal mart or target receipt with 9.99 TF deluxes. if not you can always go to frank and sons.... scalper summit.

If the prices at Frank and Sons are like those at Comic-Con, I wouldn't bother unless you want to unleash your rage on every single nerd there.
Last time I went there (5 years ago), they had decent prices on Magic cards though.

yea, you'll find some cool and good stuff, the same goes for shrine, as long its nothing people want. but for everything that is currently hot (especially TF), every fricking person there wants to cash in.... f&s is the one place where you'll find so many 08 BBs under one roof, for five times or even more its original price. god i just want to sock 'em in the face when they try to pull stunts like that

Even worse is when you see whole booths dedicated to selling Happy Meal toys. I never knew some free toys you find in fast food meals were worth that much.
