Ravage XK wrote:I got one last night. Quite smart packaging with the pop up and all.

On the back it says "You hold in your hands a reproductioni of one of the most popular Generation 1 TRANSFORMERS characters. Identical to the original toy, this convertible action figure lets you reproduce all the action of the sinister SOUNDWAVE."

Hmm, except its not is it? This can hold two tapes, G1 soundwave couldnt could it?

Yar, they be liars. Tis nice packaging though, not to mention 3 very cool toys. I never had any of the tapes or tape players when I were a lad. Mad how they stand up to the same level of quality as some newer toys.

I have been wondering WHY I wanna buy the Hasbro reissue Soundwave.

I have the Encore reissue coming.
I have Soundblaster's reissue, so I have both of the casseticons and the double cassette version of the mold already.

All I can think is that I want the random packaging.

I need help.

lol

it does pop-up. not that that is necessarily a good thing. haha. if you have the tapes, and a soundwave, i personally see no point in it. i only got cause i have no soundwave, never did, and never had any tapes. and had some supposed holiday money kicking about

As I said before, I'm going to try my local TRU tomorrow (if they have him in stock, took ages for them to get 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime in), and just preordered the Encore version from Ravage XK :P

Yes, I got mine because I had never owned a Soundwave or Soundblaster before.

I await to hear you're report PJM72. I would go myself but it would cost too much for a trip to the Metro and come back empty handed. Please be in. Please be in. Please be in.

No. I have Essex-based relatives and I always make a point of visiting Ipswich TRU when I'm in the area, which is quite often!

Cool, good to see another east anglia (ish) member on here. Went up to TRU Ipswich this morning, managed to get hold of 2 Reissue Soundwave's, and since I'd earnt abit more money last month due to some overtime, I went on a TF spending spree and bought 1 of each of the other G1 Reissues, which they had load of, where as there weren't many Soundwave's. Most of the Reissues were in the bottom right hand corner of the store, as you go past the desk near the front door, there's loads at the end there, as well as loads of movie stuff. And then Soundwave and a few other Reissues are in the middle of the store. In the end I bought 2 Soundwaves, and then 1 of each of the following. Inferno, Tracks, Prowl, Red Alert and Skywarp (all characters I've never owned as originals), thought it best to buy them while I saw them, I've bought TF's before and went back for the rest, to find them sold out :(

Looks like the Matrix did light my darkest hour :D

Thanks for the reply and I'll most certainly keep my eyes peeled when I'm in Ipswich in September! Out of interest, and the awesome Soundwave reissue aside, do they have good stocks of Robotic Heroes?

I'm currently building a new collection of Transformers and feverishly adding Classics, Alternators and SDCC 2007 Exclusives - Rodimus and Menasor (bought both as a lot for £39.99)!

They seemed to have a fairly good stock level this morning, what it's like now I'm not sure, but they had quite a good selection this morning :)

YES!! 8)

Thanks. I'll head over there when I can. Which will probably be Wednesday as Prime Spotlight probably wont be out this week. So if anyone swoops in and nabs them all, I'll hunt them down with my grenade launcher. And I'm killer with my grenade launcher, just ask anyone who has played Halo and Battlefront with me.

Months ago.

And for anyone keeping tabs, Metro Centre was out of them on wed.
