Your must-haves from Cybertron/Energon (basic, deluxe, and voyager classes)

Right now I don't have enough money to get Leader size to Supreme Class (or any of the Combiners), and for now 2007 Leader Prime satisfies my big toy craving even though I almost bought Cybertron Primus last year. But obviously Energon and Cybertron overall are slightly better toylines than the movie for their sheer variety in creativity and characters so I am hoping for opinions on what basics, deluxes and voyagers are must-have

For example, I am seriously considering getting CD Red Alert even though he's $54 AUS, and I am going to try and find Thunderblast and Override GTS online. I also know that getting Excellion will be prime. :P

Thanks!

You're only 3 months too late to find many Cybertron figures Raymond, as most stores cleared them out to put in the movie line.

I have found Target's to be the best with retaining excess Cybertron stock, but even then, it is mostly the Voyager/Ultra class figures in very roughed up boxes.

Toyworlds and Uncle Pete's Toy stores are also a good bet,t hey are often a few $$ dearer, but they carry figures for much longer, You may even find a few Universe and Armada toys too.

my faves from the energon line are the deluxe sized linkers:roadblock, inferno, towline, hotrod,'energon' hotrod, prowl, rodimus and downshift. these are a lot of fun to make the linked bots, some look goofy, some look very cool, most can be reconfigured to look way better than their 'official' link configuration.

Actually the combiners (Superion Maximus, Bruticus Maximus & Constructicon Maximus) are made from basic & deluxe figures and are some of the best the line has to offer. True you would have to pick up duplicates, but these figure should be in everybody's collection.

The best ones of the combiners are:

•Barricade
•Kickback/Blight
•Stormcloud/Blackout
•Bonecrusher/Sledge
•Skyshadow/Terradive
•Treadshot/Windrazor

There's almost no Cybertron toys, even when i first started collecting the movie line.

I have Vector Prime which i bought at discount for $20, and movie Skyblast, Arcee and Signal Flare which for practicality's sake I'll class from Energon. There's a TON of Metroplexes for $50, while there's two roughed up boxes of Red Alert for $55.

It is a shame that Casefresh did not stock the Cybertron line, although with what happened with their Energon stock I cannot blame them.

If you want to "cheat" a little to get a decent Energon figure, duck into TRU and grab yourself Energon Downshift, he is a spiffy repaint of Energon Downshift.

Ebay.au is also not too bad a resource for Energon and Cybertron figures, you'll be paying at least $10 more for the same figures, thanks to overcharged postage, but it might be an idea to wait until November or so, to let the movie hysteria die down a tad more.

Unfortunately Raymond101 cannot buy stuff from Hasbro toyshop, as he is based in Australia, and I am unsure about walmart's international shipping policies.

But at the very least,t hose sites should give you some indication of the US$ prices of figures, so you can limit how much you are ripped off if you decide to import figures Raymond.
