I've noticed a myriad of posts dealing with "Why can't I find anything but the movie line", or "Classics is great, are there more classics coming?" or "Is (insert line name here) over?" etc.. etc...

In an effort to help out. I have made this thread detailing status of several toy lines.

Cybertron:

The Cybertron Line is officially over. Whatever you see in Stores, are the last few figures left. and no more will be available at retail. Unless the Store has some in there warehouse they forgot to put out. you're best bet for figures, is Ebay or Online Stores like http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/, or http://www.bigbadtoystore.com.

Classics:

The Classics Line is also over. although its more likely to find some left overs at brick and mortar stores than Cybertron. Still your best bet is ebay or the online stores, like the ones mentioned above.

It appears that recently some stores have started re-stocking classics. This in no way implies Classics is still going, only that certain stores have stock available, or Hasbro is still shipping the last remaining cases of Classics. Buy what you want now, as its most likely the last re-stocking of Classics. Such stores include Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, Target in certain areas. This might not be the case in stores near you.

Alternators:

The release of Rodimus marks the end of this line. It is highly unlikely you'll find anything left over in stores. Rodimus is of currently only available through online stores AFAIK.

Titanium:
The 6inch transformable Titanium Line has also come to an end.(Someone correct me if I'm Wrong please) WWI Prowl, and WWI Grimlock are the last moulds to see a release. Menasor (A Rodimus Repaint) is I believe an online exclusive (again correct me if I'm wrong). There are a few repaints that were shown at Botcon and Comicon, but theres no information so far whether they are to be released or not. Additionally, there were several prototypes for this line shown, who's status is unknown, probably will not see a release ever, but we hope some of them like Shockwave and Cosmos make it to the Universe line next year.

Movie Line:
As it stands the Movie Line is the only main line currently at retail, and being supplied regularly(or so its supposed to be) There are a few more waves yet to come in the following months.

The Next major toy line to be released is Transformers Animated. There's still a little discrepancy on actual release dates. So far some places say it will be released in Spring of 2008. Other's believe they will be released earlier than that. We have no actual specific date so far for there release.

EDIT: The Cartoon has been given a tentative Release Date of December or January of 2008. Thanx to Overloaded for pointing this out.

There will be a new line, following in the style of the now defucnt Classics. It will be called Transformers Universe, and is scheduled for release in Fall of 2008. The only characters that have been confirmed for this line thus far, are Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, and Octane (triple changer).

That is all for now. If there is new info on the status of the newer lines, or actual release dates, I'll probably update this thread with them, if it hasn't disappeared into the oblivion that is page 2 of the forums.

If anybody find anything that is not accurate please tell me and I'll correct it. If you wish to add something , please feel free to do so.

EDTI: Renamed.
EDIT: Thanx To Scaleface, for providing additional info on availability of figures of the mentioned lines:

heres hoping this thread frees the toys forum back up a little. The amount of "where can I find" threads is ridiculous.

Agreed. I do partially disagree on the classics- Amazon has been getting regular shipments which is evident with all the mini-releases.

Well since Amazon is an Online store. It keeps with the statement I made about it. Anyway, for those that do want to buy at Amazon, be careful the toy is actually in stock by Amazon, and is not from some independent seller. They usually overcharge, and Amazon's listings, can make it hard to tell if its form them or a seller.

A few minutes, I type fast. Why do you see many spelling errors?

Pretty informative for new collectors! No huge errors or anything, although the "The Classics line is also over." statement gets confusing when you say "There will be a continuation of the Classics line" later. Otherwise, a nice public service!

It's worth pointing out that that is the status of play in the US.

In the UK:

Cybertron:
There is still a deluge of certain figures in most TrUs (Prime, Megs, Unicron, Skywarp, Swindle and Swerve if memory serves me), but it is highly unlikly any more will some out (dispite a large number of figures NEVER coming out in this country).

Classics:
We got all of wave one (minus Astrotrain) and that was it. We also have 3 diferent avialable minicon packs, I have no idea if that was all of em or not. Wave one is still in plentiful supply in most TrUs. Sadly there is STILL no sign of wave 2 or Astrotrain, and I suspect there never will be.

Alternators:
Argos and Woolworths stock (to the best of my memory) Prime, Wheeljack, Swindle and Deadend. No one else stocks any alts. And quite frankly no one else is lickly to apear.

Titainium:
We did get a limited release of some of the G1 3inch ones at woolworths, but that seems to have gone.
TrU does the 3inch movie ones.
Argos has a pitifully small and unreliable suply of 2 or 3 6inch ones.
The UK pretty much got screwed on this line, and I suspect it will stay screwed.

Movie Line:
Woolworths seems to only stock FABs and Voyager Ratchet at the moment for some reason.
TrU has most of the innital waves of the movie lines, but is starting to trail behind the US (as usual). I would be less than surprised if we once again get utterly screwed on later waves.

20th Prime:
Some TrUs SRILL have the origanal 20th Prime, for £49.99. But most only have one or two left. The also have a plentiful supply of dvd 20th Prime for £69.99. Unsurprisingly, with a better and cheaper version not selling, this one too is not selling.

Reissues:
All TrUs have a good stock of Red Alert, Tracks with a few Prowls, Skywarps (i think, cant remember off hand) and Infernos, all in commeritive series boxes. There are also rumors that the recent reisue soundwave (the one which is a repaint of Soundblaster) has finally made it to the UK TrUs, priced £24.99.

In short, apart from reissues, the UK is getting screwed on most lines, and is miles behind the yanks on all of them. The only advantage of living in the UK at this time is anybody rediscorvering tfs thanks to the movie has a winder range of lines to chose from with reasonable avialability.

Well true. Walmarts in CANADA are flooded with Cybertron deluxes on sale for $4.94 CAD ($4 US or 2 GBP). TRU stores still have a lot of Cybertron as well (mostly Cyro Scourge though) and 20TH ANNI OP and Classic Jetfires.

O.K., This mostly applies to US. I have a Question though, for those that live in the U.K. and/or the European continent, how likely is it, that the stores there will get more cases of any of the aforementioned toy lines?

Short sweet and informative, the way people like their info these days.

Stuff like this should be made to be "compulsory reading" before being allowed to post. :-P

I'm not claiming anything. I'm just re-stating facts Hasbro itself has said, and confirmed in the previous months.

In any case, a few boxes of classics hardly means the line is coming back. It only means there are still a few cases left here and there, that were possibly withheld from being shelfed, when the Movie Line made its appearance even at the request of Hasbro.

Its good that some more cases have been stocked don't get me wrong but that in no way suggests or implies that Hasbro are still producing them. It also does not in any way, change the facts that the Cybertron and Classics lines are officially over. Again it only means there are still some left over, that have been put out.
